Our story began when 15 employees of Automatic Electric Co. made a deposit of $5 each into the newly founded Automatic Credit Union back in 1939. Since then, the credit union has evolved in name, membership base and charter to bring us to where we are today.

The ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE is determined by adding 6.65-14.65 for Platinum Cards and 8.65-16.65 for Advantage Cards to the Prime Rate. The Prime Rate used to determine your APR is the rate published in the "Money Rates" table of The Wall Street Journal on the last Friday of each month; if the last Friday is a Federal Holiday the following day's Prime Rate will be used and is effective the first day of the following month.

Friendly and helpful staff, great rates. Their online platform was recently improved but still could be better. the reason for my review today is because it's as if a toddler came up with rules for the HELOC: I can use the checks and it withdraws directly from my HELOC account but in order to use the debit card, I have to transfer money to a checking account first. It may be a federal rule, but seems silly and was not clearly explained. Once the HELOC was funded, it was difficult to get questions answered about how to use the funds.

We have had an amazing experience here. They know who we are when we walk in and are able to assist us immediately. The phone support has been great as well. We we're able to refinance our car and save on the payment and reduce the months as well as balance transfer our credit cards to 11% interest instead 18%. Huge savings!

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 7:30-5:30; closed Wednesday and Saturday. If you like web-based access to your accounts, don't get too excited. The web portal and app are both very limited and the app is outdated and not user friendly. If you cannot get to the Crystal Lake location before they close at 5:30, don't rely on the ability to withdraw cash at the ATM because much of the time it's out of service. Of the times I physically visited the branch to make a transaction, the staff were less than personable. There are

WORST CREDIT UNION CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THE PHONE AND IN PERSON, WORST ONLINE BANKING SITE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED OR ANY WEBSITE FOR THAT MATTER . BOTH OFFER VIRTUALLY NO HELP. THE PASS WORDS THEY WERE GIVING ME TO GET ON TO THE SITE WHEN NEEDED A NEW PASS WORD WOULD NOT WORK. CANT EVEN GO IN TO THE BRANCH TODAY BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSED.... ON WEDNESDAY!!!!! AND SATURDAY/SUNDAY. WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE
