Early bird from 7am-11am or for those that want to sleep in an extra hour 8am-12pm. We begin by sailing around beautiful Maalaea bay which offers offshore steady winds and calm water.
Join us for your own Private Sunset sail. Perfect for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, bachelorette parties, quality family time, and more! Take your loved one and friends sailing on your own boat with the help of a few crew! If desired, S/V Mele Makani offers a hands-on learning experience for those who wish to learn about sailing!
S/V Mele Makani is a unique experience in that it offers pleasant, personal, private sailing adventures for up to six passengers. We have done weddings, proposals, birthdays, ash scatterings, and private dinners. 4+ hour charters include deli lunch and breakfast depending on your chosen departure time.

Did the private sunset sail for our honeymoon. Lydia and Taylor were so nice and friendly! The sail was perfect and the appetizers (sushi, lillikoi and other fruits and veggies with a dip) were delicious - not just your average chips. It was also BYOB. Would recommend this to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or looking to enjoy a beautiful view!

Sailing on Maui at its best. Actually sailing! If you're looking for a relaxing time away from the crowds this it is and more. We booked the afternoon tradewinds sail. Captain Mike and deckhand Malcom were excellent hosts. My wife was a bit uneasy before we boarded since the winds were blowing pretty hard but was immediately put to ease once Mike gave his safety speech. It's very obvious that the crew was very competent and they worked very well together. Maximum party of six makes this a nice sized group. Snacks and beverages were served. Small sandwiches and fruit were perfect

Shadowfax, Captain Mike, Tina, Malcom and crew are the best ! This sailboat is the perfect size and with just 6 pax allowed, you will never be overcrowded (like many of the Maui boats I have been on). Tina is an excellent chef and most of her tasty delights are home grown on Maui. I have seen it all on Shadowfax and been out multiple times - Whale tail slapping, pods of dolphins, Lanai, Molokini, Molokai, West Side, the Pali, South Side, snorkeling with turtles.
