Capitol City Rehab & Healthcare Center
Capitol City is a 360 bed skilled rehabilitation and healthcare facility. Tucked away in the heart of District of Columbia the facility is conveniently located east of the river, only moments away from Capitol Hill and National Harbor. Capitol City proudly offers Resident Centered Care as part of its Spark Rehab Program.

This program focuses on providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies in coordination with our skilled nursing care. Our goal is return our patients to their highest level of independence as quickly and seamlessly as possible. We are also sensitive to the needs of those we care for. Our team realizes that some individuals may need to remain for a higher level of care and supervision.
Services
Our mission is to be the facility of choice for patients, employees and physicians by providing high-quality care to our community. At Capitol City, the pillar of our operation is the delivery of quality healthcare in the most appropriate, safe, patient-centered care environment. Michael grew up in Staten Island, New York; commonly known as the "forgotten borough" because it is the least known of the 5 cities that make up New York City.
Spark Rehab is a specially designed clinical excellence program that is personalized to each resident we serve. The program integrates all levels of care from your hospital stay, rehabilitation at our facility, plan to return home, and communication back to your primary physician. Creating this continuum of care helps each patient return home quicker and helps prevent rehospitalization stays.
This level of care is for those needing a short rehabilitation or nursing stay in order to transition back to their prior level of care. We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory therapy up to 7 days a week. We also utilize our Spark Rehab Program to personalize your stay and get you home sooner.
This level of care is for those needing a higher level of skilled care that can no longer manage at home or assisted living. We offer a full activities program, individualized plans of care, and nutritional services to meet the needs of these residents which includes a full range of high-quality health care service that is available 24 hours a day.
This level of care is for those seeking end of life care when treatment is no longer possible. This treatment is focused on emotional wellbeing, comfort, and pain management. Our facility is partnered with various Medicare Certified Hospice Programs and can also deliver facility directed Palliative Care.

I truly enjoy being an employee of Capitol City! It has been less than 6 months and I already feel so connected with the residents and their loved ones. I love being not only a listening ear, but also a helping hand amongst the many other wonderful staff. There are a number of great improvements and I’m excited to be apart!

Great staff!I know I just got here today but I can’t believe how much better this place is then years ago. I had a brother who was here in 09 and they used to be all out front high and some more. It’s nothing like that now it’s almost like a hospital and I feel very safe. I think I’m going to have a good stay but if things change I’ll let it be known.

My husband has been there for a while pre COVID and Capital City Rehab never gave up and neither did we. It's so important to get understanding because when my husband's health declined his social worker gave me hope. Literally today I was able to properly learn how to better work on his exercise program the eazy way, hat off to physical therapy, without hurting my back. My husband was glad and so am I. The nurses especially the ones on our team 3 North actually listens and hears my concerns along with their busy workload. I have hope that one day my husband will come home and we will together

It is my pleasure to share my great experiences at this wonderful facility.
I have worked many years in the healthcare
Arena and evaluate facilities quite critically.
There is a “ Culture of Caring” Which exists and permeates throughout.
So if there are team players who are non-compliant , then peer pressure,
Supervision, training,
their conscience and as a last resort, termination must help to maintain and preserve the apparent “ Culture if Caring....this is what I surmise.
Lastly, the First Impression at the Front Door
Exacted by the Customer Service Staff, is in my opinion, tantamount

Janika cut Dr. Rev Jordan Davis, Jr.'s hair with a wonderful level of care and professionalism.
Additionally, Ce Ce was very helpful and professional in her medical duties as well.
I sincerely enjoyed and appreciated the entire visit.

This place is really the place to be for Kevin. My son and I can relax knowing that he's in good hands. It looks great in here and everyone has been helpful and very nice so far. I thought I had to bring him a TV but they provided him a brand new one.

I whined a lot when I first got here I was a big ‘ol baby and wanted to go home but my stay has been really good. The people here care and are very professional. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say that besides about my regular doctor. The CNAs were good to me so I can’t wait to put the one I have at home to work. The director of Social Worker Mr. Jay runs a tight ship. He makes sure they handle what needs to be done and the concierge Diamond made sure she checked on me a lot and answered all my questions. I’m glad I get to go home but if I had to come back for rehab here

I have been here for a year and seven months and I'm going to miss some of these people when I get my place. You may have your one or two but 98% of the workers here are great and I love them. And I don't pass the word around too easy so if I say I love you then you made me feel loved and I mean it. They take good care of me.
