We check everything structurally inside and out, roof to foundation, to make sure everything is properly built and structurally sound. We test all the mechanical systems (plumbing, heating, cooling, waste discharge), as well as the appliances. We check for any moisture issues within the home. We check everything on the exterior (sheds, decks, patios, garages).

A Move-In Certified home has been pre-inspected, which means that the seller can confirm that there are no major systems in need of immediate repair or replacement, and no known safety hazards.
We inspect thousands of homes and commercial properties in the Long Island area for potential buyers who want to know in advance of any problems before they buy. We have inspected homes and structures from brand new construction to structures over 400 years old. Our inspection staff consists of highly-trained Long Island Licensed Professional Home Inspectors who are familiar with local construction practices and materials.
A structural only inspection is just that. We are inspecting only the structural components, framing, foundation, etc. No mechanical systems. This inspection is perfect for foreclosures, vandalized houses, or people who will be flipping/gutting a house after purchase, where most of the systems have been or will be removed and replaced.
Home Inspection is one of the most misunderstood and misguided activities in the sale or purchase of a home. This is by far the best home inspection company on the island. Jim trained all of his staff and is a home improvement savant/genius. He knows everything about everything. He goes above and beyond when inspecting a home you want to purchase. He checks everything and will thoroughly answer any question you have.

I can not recommend this Company enough! Debbie was very helpful and quick with setting us up with a home inspection on a short notice. Robert thoroughly inspected the house for us in a timely manner. When he transitioned to an interior inspection, he even changed his shoes as to not track dirt in the house, which I think was such a thoughtful idea. Robert as pointed out little things about the house to take notice of for the future that I would not have realized until much later. I definitely recommend Home Sweet Home Inspections!
