At Bellevue Dental Care, we offer CEREC technology. The CEREC allows metal-free porcelain crowns to be fabricated and delivered in one single appointment.
Dr. Yi grew up in Auburn, Washington. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School with honors, he received Bachelors in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Washington. He attended University of Washington Dental School and received Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) in 1998.
Dr. Mike grew up in Sunnyvale, California. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Washington. Following college, he attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988. He also completed an Oral Surgery externship at the University of Leeds Dental Hospital in 1987.
Hyodo and Yi are committed Christians who are serving the needy in many countries. Through the years, they have provided free dental care in many different countries like Romania, Jamaica, Mexico, and Cameroon. Currently, Dr. Hyodo and family are working in Kenya setting up dental clinics, providing food for the slum communities, fostering orphans, and preaching the Gospel.
The first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to Drs. Hyodo and Yi and our caring staff. I’ve been a patient at Bellevue Dental Care for over 25 years. Every experience has been very positive and more than just pleasant. I consider my dental hygienist a good friend (I helped with a bike for her daughter), the office staff are great, and Drs. Hyodo and Yi are fabulous. These experiences never feel rushed. When I did need rapid care for a broken crown, they responded immediately. It’s worth the drive from West Seattle!

Wonderful group at the Bellevue Dental Care. Dr Yi is very thorough & terrific and Melissa is top notch. I moved from good dental groups in CA and Gig Harbor. After moving too Bellevue, I was naturally anxious about finding a replacement. I am relieved to say I did. I have very high standards when it comes to my dental care and Bellevue Dental Care meets it.

Not only is EVERYONE incredibly friendly and nice, but they are the utmost professionals. Been coming here for years and they always do whatever they can to accommodate your busy schedule. Top quality dentists and hygienists are all you'll find here. Never have I had a bad experience and I generally don't care to go to the dentist. Won't schedule anywhere else and neither should you, if you want your mouth cleaned correctly

I work here with Dr. Gross. The office is fancy and very clean. Dr. Gross is super nice and does excellent work on all her patients. The team is great and I love them all. Dr. Gross ensures all staff and patients are safe during Covid by extra cleaning and protective gear. Definitely recommend this office.

This is the best dental clinic I've ever had, and I'm 75 years old. Dr. Johann Yi has been my dentist now for a couple of years, and I could not be more pleased. My first visit to Bellevue Dental Care was for x-rays and cleaning. They do early morning appointments, which was great for me because of my work hours. The cleaning was very thorough, and afterwards for the first time in decades I could use floss easily without it getting stuck. My history with this dental clinic goes back 3 decades. I chose Dr. Hyodo after experiencing 4 years of deteriorating tooth health, including several root canals under the care of a supposed reputable dentist. Since becoming a member of the Bellevue Dental Care family, my dental conditions happily have completely turned around. Have been going here for about 2 years. Their staff is very nice and they do fine tooth cleanings. However, I can not in good conscience give any more stars. My mother got a crown from here that constantly gives her pain. I got a crown or cap here after receiving a root canal from the surgeons office located behind this location (great surgeon place) after about a year the cap split in half and FELL OUT. The dentist here said the middle of the cap was too thin to hold on (causing it to split).
I will not be returning to this dentist ever again.

Great front desk service. My hygienist was very gentle. I needed a referral to an Endodontist and an Oral Surgeon. I was referred by Bellevue Dental Care. No one thought or offered to send my xrays over to these Dentist. I had to call or repay to have xrays taken. When you are paying cash for these services, it gets very costly to have them retaken by each Dentist. Other than that, I think this office is thorough, compassionate, well staffed, knowledgeable and service oriented.

Bellevue Dental Care is awesome. My wife and I have been patients at Bellevue Dental Care for more than 3 years now.
Dr. H is great and very thorough, however he doesn't give me much advice cause I'm the perfect dental patient. The rest of the staff is just as awesome. Generally, going to any Doctor can be unpleasant but the staff is awesome at making their patients feel comfortable.
One of the coolest features is in the waiting room they have a tv that is showing tropical islands and beautiful destinations. This most recent time was video footage from a helicopter in Hawaii. Sitting

I recently went back to see Dr. Yi, and he advised me to replace a crown. He claimed that crown was not seated correctly. This crown was installed by previous dentist. At first, I hesitated and told Dr. Yi the crown he wants to replace is relatively new crown (installation in the last 4 years), and I stated that didn't have any issues with it. (The crown had a filling and didn't look all white). He said there could potentially be tooth decay underneath the crown, and if i don't replace it, I risked loosing the tooth. I've been going to Drs. Yi and Hyodo for 15 or so years. I find them quite competent, on time, practical, and the staff always warmly welcoming.
While I really don't like visiting ANY dentist, I find this practice the best I've ever experienced. So, even though I no longer work in Bellevue, I trek back twice a year, and my sense of relative comfort is definitely worth the time spent on the trip.
They are sensitive to my unease and good to explain what's happening as they go along, even with routine care, if I ask. They're good to work with on scheduling, including

Crown replacement and 3 cavities done by Dr. Yi in 2 hours!
They have the crown milling infrastructure which makes things so much faster. It's pretty cool - it makes a real time 3D map of your teeth which allows a perfect fit! I had to get 4 crowns replaced. A traditional dentist would require me to make 8 trips! I got them in half that time, with a fully functional tooth every time I left their clinic.
Last but not the least, the rest of staff! They're awesome! Super friendly! Desk, to billing to insurance to procedures. Very polite and helpful.

I have been a regular at this place since last year. The place is nicely setup. I enjoyed talking to every person I was assigned every time. They are friendly and so is the doctor. He has a pleasing personality and he really patient with you. He never rushes through, even if he has a busy day. They always give back a card package with a brush, paste, floss, etc. Also they have gifts for referals and once you complete your first cleaning. Overall a nice place and would recommend it.

I am visiting Bellevue for 3 months. During dinner last night, the crown of a tooth underwent RCT came out all on a sudden. I was really in a state of shock. First, I never expected that. Last but not the least, this is not the city I live. A friend recommended this place. I took an appointment today morning. And, Dr. Mike re-cemented that crown within 10 mins. The nurse was really good and all the staff were very friendly. I am now relaxed and back to work (and eat) in less than 3 hours.

It was a nightmare last month I went to this unethical dental clinic. The hygienist first looked at my X ray films and told me everything looks good, no cavities. The dentist got me waiting for 30 mins after I've already spent 1 hour taking the X rays and gum measurement. When the dentist finally came, he told me I got 2 cavities (2s and 3s). I was pretty surprised because I haven't got a single cavity since I started to use power toothbrush 6 years ago. But what do I know? he is the dentist. not me.

I came here after having a terrible experience at another dentist down the street, also because this place is only a couple blocks from my house and the location was so convenient. The receptionist, Holly, was so accommodating and reassuring on the phone, and when I stepped in the atmosphere was warm and friendly. It reminded me of the old dentist I went to back home when I was younger, and they were playing country music. I highly recommend Bellevue Dental Care. The staff is friendly and always very helpful. Their office is modern and utilizes the latest technologies. They will send you appointment reminders via e-mail, text, or phone. They are always super responsive to last minute changes to appointments and will do their best to get you in at the next available time. Dr. Yi is fantastic and definitely puts you at ease in the dentist chair.

Even after brushing four times a day, using mouth wash, no smoking, no drinking and I may even have one Soda month...? I could not avoid a trip to the Dentist due to having a lose tooth. The funny part is when asking Friends about a referral for a Good Dentist, I got the same answer which is I am sorry.. I have not seen mine either in years I forgot the name...?

It's clear that everyone who works at Bellevue Dental Care does so because they want to be there. They're always friendly without being saccharine and they make going to the dentist as enjoyable as such a thing can be. The facilities are clean and the technology is up to date. In addition, the chairs are comfortable and separated by walls which really helps with providing a sense of privacy.
