As part of Dr. Herman's clinical training, at some of our nation's most prestigious military medical centers, he had the distinct pleasure of serving both those on active duty as well as veterans. Dr. Herman provided chiropractic care in an integrated setting to our injured troops returning from deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
While not exhaustive, below is a list of conditions that often respond well to conservative care provided by Dr. Herman. You can rest assured that he will discuss your condition with you and will educate you on your options. If diagnostic studies (x-rays, MRI, CT, or ultrasound) or lab work are needed, he will order the appropriate study.

I visited multiple chiropractors for chronic back pain that was often debilitating before Dr Herman was recommended to me. He took time to talk with me on the phone for free before ever going and we talked about my issues and he was pretty sure he could help me so I went. Because of how long I've had back pain it's taken a good couple months of regular visits to get to the point I'm at today, but I now have very minimal back pain and can do exercises (which I couldn't before because it hurt so much) in order to build back muscle that will help long term! Dr Herman is very kind and understanding

After months of back pain, I went to see Dr. Herman and he treated it with active release technique and functional dry needling. My pain was gone after two treatments and I've experienced no pain in the weeks following. He also treated my shoulder which had been bothering me for several weeks. I am now able to function normally with it and my range of motion has improved tremendously. He thoroughly explained what was causing my problems and the different modes of treatment he provides and how they can help the body to heal without invasive procedures or prescriptions. I definitely would recommend

Dr. Herman and his staff are the best of the best! I was experiencing extreme back, knee, and shoulder pain and within a few visits my pain had subsided tremendously. He always goes the extra mile to help you in any way possible. I’m in the process to move to Georgia and I’m seriously contemplating on flying back to Ohio every few months for routine check ups, he’s just that great! Dr Herman is the best chiropractor in the area!
I’ve been going to him since he started his practice.
I was scheduled for shoulder surgery but canceled it once I started going to him. His technic is different from any other Chiropractor I’ve gone to in the past.
He is very knowledgeable . He spends a hour with me working on the soft tissue and I always feel so much better after my session.

I want to thank Dr Herman and his staff on getting me moving in the right direction. I've previously had a microdiscectomy surgery performed on my lower back. A month ago I re-injured my back training jiu-jitsu. Dr Herman was excellent and is very personal and willing to answer all the questions I had for him. Dr Herman was also very upfront on setting realistic expectations with my recurring injury and how he could help me get back on track. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Herman if you have been suffering from any body aches and pains.

Just wanted Dr. Herman to know how much I appreciate his help . I have reoccurring back pain and his multi - faceted approach using different techniques has really made a big difference. That coupled with the healthy amount of time he spends with you on each visit is a winning combination. In addition to the back pain I will once in a while as I’m getting older have some neck pain, hip pain , knee pain, shoulder pain. Dr. Herman at Ohio Sport and Spine is one of the best Chiropractic/ overall doctor I have ever been to. I have tried to find other Chiropractors and physical therapists near my home, but nobody else will give you the one-on-one attention that Dr. Herman will. Even though he doesn't take insurance it's well worth the money spent! No other chiropractor/ physical therapist/ doctor will give you the lasting pain relief or attention that you will get here!

AMAZING results on persistent soft tissue shoulder issue after one visit, improving further with each subsequent treatment.
I'd been dealing with constant pain and limited use for 2-1/2 yrs with PT and OT only providing partial relief.
Dr H has an arsenal of different techniques which he can combine to customize and refine treatment. Feels like a miracle to have my arm back!

This is the place to go. I had tried almost everything for my chronic knee pain, including numerous knee surgeries with highly regarded Orthopaedic surgeons and countless hours of the standard physical therapy. My 22 yr old college football son was diagnosed with L5/S1 herniation and had been recommended for surgery by 3 orthopedic surgeons. He could not even start to bend over without sciatic pain. He started seeing… Dr Herman on May 7th and had his last appointment on July 19th. NO surgery and he said he has not felt as good as he does now for years! OMG!! If you have any sports related injury, Dr. Herman should be your first stop. I just recently moved to the area and was looking for someone who specialized in ART and I'm really happy I lucked out and found him. I went to Dr. Herman with extreme lower back pain that continued down my leg. Dr. Herman was able to pinpoint the problem instantaneously. With a method of muscle manipulation, dry needling, and chiropractic… techniques, my pain is night and day so much better. After my first visit, I went from barely being able to stand for several minutes at a time to walking with greater comfort. After my third visit, I'm almost back to my old self, playing tennis again three times a week and maintaining a normal lifestyle.

Dr. Herman really helped alleviate pain I was having in my shoulder. He takes time to understand the source of the pain and treats accordingly. It was my first time using a chiropractor who did ART and he really educates you and helps you understand the treatment. I will be recommending him to anyone needing chiropractic care.
