We really enjoyed our stay at the Whale Watch motel. Rooms were clean and homey. Barry and Pat were so nice and helpful with everything. This is a pet friendly place! It’a an old school motel that makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Beach is across the street. View is awesome! Food is close by. I highly recommend it!

We love this dog friendly motel. Owners, Patricia and Barry are the best! They are super nice people and always go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. If you appreciate a modest, clean older motel you'll love it here too. We especially enjoy having the ability to cook and having access to refrigerator/freezer in the effeciency or cottages. If you prefer not cooking while vacationing the regular rooms will save you some money. Reasonable pricing steps from the dog and family friendly beach. Always enjoy our time here and there's even a pool. Also great restaurant and full liquor bar right

Awesome, Patricia and Barry are wonderful host. We stayed in room 3, it was clean, bright and cheerful. Our dog was made as welcome as we were. Barry officiated as my husband Danny and I renewed our wedding vows. Patricia took pictures. We came as strangers but left feeling we have new family friends. This is now our home away from home. Thanks Barry and Patricia.God Bless.

We recently stayed at the Whale Watch inn for the Daytona 500 week. The beach was beautiful, the air was warm and the sun was hot. The cottage was very clean and supplied. Barry even had a campfire for us on Saturday night, it was like camping at the beach. I left my fire stick in the TV and called down to tell him, He promptly mailed it right to my house. We like you so much we booked the same week for next year before we left. I like to call places like this a diamond in the rough. Can't wait till next year!

Barry and Patricia were really nice, welcoming hosts to this old little motel. My husband and our two friends were booked in units 10 and 9. While we enjoyed our stay with the dogs -- they are so dog friendly, and even offer sheets to cover the futon in the living room and on the bed -- I don't believe I would stay here without the dogs.
Hurricane Matthew really did a thing to the Whale Watch Motel in August 2016, ripping off a roof of one of their cottages as well as the facing of a couple of their buildings. This is unfortunate, and still under repair, but really doesn't account for

I checked in earlier today and everyone is so friendly. Barry went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. This is not a fancy place, but very clean including the pool. The price for an OCEANFRONT accommodation is the best I was able to find for miles in either direction. If you love the ocean but can do without high-end amenities, this is the place to be

Just left, after 2 nights stay. Owned and run by a couple. There are 10 rooms, 4 of them are cottage like and 4 face the water and 2 face the west, but has ocean view. If you are looking for a high class ceramic hotel, move on my friend but if you are looking for comfy, clean beds with cable and free wifi, that's 2.2 miles from all the action, then book a weekend and bring your bikes and enjoy., oh and the beach front restaurant next store is simply amazing.

It's just off the beaten path and only steps from the beach (47 steps if you're counting) and there're plenty of highly rated restaurants nearby. Even though they had "no vacancies" on their sign, the owners did a quick turn over of a room when we showed up unannounced so we could stay. Our room was very clean and had a kitchen with full sized fridge. The owners even offered us free charcoal to grill out on the provided grill and beach toys for the kids! I feel certain these folks could open a bed and breakfast and make a killing.

These little cottages are just so cute! The owners, Barry & Patricia, keep them very clean & are always friendly & go out of their way to accommodate any needs. This isn't the Ritz Carlton, but I give it five stars because it is a definite must stay in Flagler Beach if you want a room with a view, living room, kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Each room has a different theme: fishing, flamingos, boating, etc. The cottages have porches on the front and even a side door through the kitchen! We love to park right outside the kitchen and it's easy to load and unload our vehicle
