Carrigan Farms is a 5th generation, family owned, farm. Carrigan Farms specializes in growing quality fruits and vegetables, educational school tours and field trips, weddings, swim parties, and other special events. The Carrigans settled in the Mooresville area in the 1750's with ancestors buried at local Coddle Creek ARP church.
The Quarry at Carrigan Farms is described by many as a piece of "Heaven on Earth." Quarry visitors marvel over the perfect ambiance, which blends mountain and beach vistas. Its natural granite walls define the private location and rise to 70 feet. The Quarry's curving boardwalk, filtering into a white sugar-sand beach, is reminiscent of time-honored beach style.
Reward your hard working employees with a fun day swimming with oodles of swim noodles, sunning, serving one up on the sugar sand beach volleyball court, and just plain ole' having a good time. Company picnics at Carrigan Farms are fun for the whole family, with plenty of activities for tots, teens, and "kids of all ages."
A reservation includes a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch for everyone 2 years old and older. Come pick your own pumpkin, right off the vine! Carrigan Farms' pumpkin patches are open the entire month of October with hayrides back and forth to the patch every day. The cost is $12.00 per person for everyone ages 2 and older.
The Quarry makes a perfect backdrop for your engagement, bridal, maternity and family portrait sessions. In March, April and early May, photo shoot times are available on Monday-Thursdays between the hours of 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM. From mid-May through early September, photo shoots are only available on Monday-Thursday mornings at 7:00 AM.

We had a family activity here and had the best time riding the wagon out to see the animals and pick pumpkins. Then we treated ourselves to hot donuts. They also have a great selection of pumpkins and gourds for sale. It was a wonderful fall afternoon! Time well spent!

Great family owned farm on the outskirts of Mooresville, NC. In the summer you can pick your own strawberries and come fall you can pick your own pumpkins. They also offer hay rides and during the withcing season you can visit Scarrigan Farms a Haloween favorite. They also have a small variety of farm animals / petting zoo. There is a farm store as well.

We had a fabulous time pulling our little pumpkins from the vine. The hayride and gentle breeze were lovely. Our apple cider donut was tasty and we brought home a beautiful fall plant. It's a nice venue with a friendly staff.

Do not waste your money on the "hayride" to the pumpkin patch. $12 for a short ride down a path. Nothing else on a week day except an unbelievably rude manager, Kelly, (whom we later learned is actually the owner's wife). Everyone in our party was shocked at how Carrigan Farm's staff (with the exception of the younger staff) could have cared less about our experience there. Honestly, Kelly, you taught our younger generation exactly how not to treat customers.

So, we highly suggest ... Go to Patterson's Farm 8 mins down the road for the same price and see the animals, enjoy

Took the family there for a day out and loved the fact that you had to reserve a time because, unlike most similar establishments, they keep the reservations to a manageable level and we never felt overwhelmed by the crowds or had long lines. Also, in a strange twist, the guy flipping burgers at the snack bar was making some of the better burgers i've had in a while and when i stopped to engage him in a conversation, there was some real pride in his voice when he was talking about making those burgers. No idea if it's the same guy all the time, but if so, do yourself a favor and try

This place has AMAZING farm fresh food and the owner cooks the delicious steaks and burgers right in front of you on the outdoor grill made to order! Kids have a blast and the pick up volleyball game was fun for all ages! Such a great time had by grandparents, parents and kids. Again though, the food at their own restaurant on the property is next level delicious! You won’t be disappointed!

This place is over priced and remote. Run by extremely rude people. From the parking lot attendant being rude, to the check in desk being pushy, to the lifeguards being extra.

What a waste of money.

No COVID protocol or care for anyone's health or safety. Super crowded during peak COVID, no protocols for spacing at the benches, lines, or restrooms (filthy).

Sad that there's nothing to do in this area that this is listed as a hot spot.

If you want to be surrounded by rude and ugly and crowded during a pandemic for a high price - then maybe this is your thing.

My girlfriend and I just dropped by because we heard this place was beautiful and it did not disappoint! I have been here almost each year for strawberry pickings and pumpkin patches but have never experienced the quarry. Absolutely loved it!

A good size swimming quarry but not big. Some grass space for everyone allowed, or a covered picnic table. Check in was slow. Beautiful water. 5 exits from water, a couple of good jumps and a cable over the water for flips. Parking indicates capacity of venue well. I'm a fan and will likely come again. Also entrance price is high but food prices are reasonable.

Fun place for children that can swim and adults. Could use a toddler section with water but I am unsure of how that could be possible. The area was really clean and the food was great.

Went with some friends The lake was fun but definitely a fitness test! You must pass the swim test to not wear a life jacket. then to do the swing you have to be able to do a dead hang and a pull up . They do have a ledge that you could jump off of which is fun they have a lifeguard there to make sure that people don't jump on top of each other but she wasn't paying much attention and there were a few close calls . The staff was not that friendly it's a lot of teenagers with attitudes. But some where nice .Concession was awesome though I enjoyed there pizza and the strawberry

This review is long overdue, and well deserved! The Quarry is so much more than just a beautiful wedding venue, a hidden gem to go swimming in during the summer, a place to go apple picking, pumpkin picking, and strawberry picking, or a place to experience the scariest Halloween spooks! This is a family owned farm, that is all about FAMILY! When you get married at any other venue, you typically NEVER go back. But at Carrigan Farms, this place grows with your family as your family grows! First, you can experience The Quarry as a couple taking your vows in front of the most beautiful waterfall

Enjoyed going pumpkin picking and going on a tractor ride. We were pleased to find a big green pumpkin and two other pumpkins for our porch. Beautiful sunflower field, Apple Cider Donuts available and frozen cider which was okay. My son loved the donuts. We have fun riding along the farm to the pumpkin patch. Beautiful views. Cute farm animals. Plenty of spots for fall pictures at this farm. Some people ignored wearing the mask but most had it on the ride including younger children. Very friendly drivers. No food trucks when we went except donuts. Wear sneakers for ease walking through the pumpkin

Came here for Pumpkin Picking with the fam. This place is cute. It was $10 pp and came with a hayride and pumpkin pp.

There's a ton of parking. I like that you have to make a reservation so there aren't a ton of people showing up at the same time. When you get to the front, each person gets a sticker. This is to ensure you can get on the hay ride; however, I think this is based mainly on the honor system. No one really checks for the sticker. And it's easy to come around from the side to get on the hay ride... which I'm pretty sure I saw a few people who didn't have a

Sorry that I brought my daughter and her friend to the Scary Trail tonight! About 40% of the kids / people walking around the common area had masks on and little to no safe distancing. Hope that this night doesn't turn into a super spreader event.

An absolutely disappointing experience Apple picking. They make you prepay for hayride and apple bags ($12pp- even small kids) and all that was there is a bunch of rotten apples. We couldn't even fill one bag. There is nothing cute for the kids- they were so disappointed. They were out of the apple cider and my kids wouldn't even eat the apple cider donuts. They were also packing people on the hayride- not Covid friendly. Would not recommend.

This is a wonderful find in the greater Charlotte area. It's a bit pricey at $20 (cash) per person, but once there, we realized worth every cent. A beautiful quarry, clean, well maintained, EXTREMELY well guarded, inviting on a very hot summer day. They are practicing social distancing and limiting the amount of people in any swim session. Food was DELICIOUS and well priced. Again- cash only, but we knew that ahead of time. I was fortunate to meet Doug, the owner, at the end of our swimming session. (He was also manning the charcoal grill, serving up locally ground beef hamburgers, chicken

After coming to Carrigan Farms for the pumpkin patch annually for seven years, I am here to express my absolute distaste, anger, and annoyance at their poor choice in hiring and assigning individuals to tasks. As well as their extremely pathetic "customer service".

I came here in October while on a quick 48hr visit to Charlotte from NYC. Because this was tradition for us, my sisters, niece and nephew, and fiancé came looking for our fall experience. Last year and prior, you could choose between riding the hay ride up to the patch, or walk up to the patch and then buy a pumpkin and

Carrigan Farms is a great place to find a pumpkin! I stopped by on Thursday to get myself a white pumpkin and looked around a bit. They have hayrides around the farm, plenty of pumpkins to choose from right now and a store with yummy treats for sale. This is a great place to go with the kids for some weekend fun.

What an incredible place and less than an hour from our house. Saw so many of my friends pics and videos of this place online last summer so I made a point to bring the boys this year.

On arrival we had to check in. As expected with teens manning the station it was a lil bumpy but we made it through. NOTE: do the registration online and then you can just show your barcode. Also note that they only take CASH and CHECKS.
Price is $15 bucks per person even if you don't swim.

The facility is perfectly setup for a day trip. Plenty of room on the lawn for picnics and sunning. Large covered area

When I read about the quarry here, I really wanted to check it out. We finally made it up to check it out and it was awesome.

We came on Memorial Day so it was pretty crowded, but it's a big quarry. They charge $15 per person in cash or a check and you have to sign a waiver.

Once you make it through that, you have to take a swim test if you want to swim without a lifejacket. That line was pretty long, but you get a wristband if you pass.

They have tons of noodles that anyone can use and you can bring your own floats. There's a couple of platforms you can jump in from and a cool rope

It took me awhile to find this place but make sure you use this address: 1213 Oak Ridge Farm Hwy, Mooresville NC 28115. Then look for a sign that says Carrigan Farms West Entrance. Drive straight past the pond to the right and there should be a hill with some corn on the side. You can park there. Once you park just go straight to the back of the trail and it'll lead you to this amazing quarry.

Keep in mind this is 25 ft deep so you would have to wear a life vest unless you pass the swim test. The swim test only consisted of jumping off the cliff and swimming toward the middle where the rest
