86'd Bar & Eatery was opened by Chef Julio Cancho (owner of Canggio Restaurant), his father Jose Cancho (also part owner of Canggio Restaurant), because they wanted to bring a fun, bar & late-night eatery to the Norwich area. With that in mind; 86'd Bar offers an indoor bar plus plenty of seating away from the bar.
Bar games including shot-skis, Jenga, and more. There is also an outdoor patio with an outdoor bar we call "The Hut", picnic tables, a stage for a band or a DJ, Outdoor games like Cornhole plus room for dancing. You have 10 minutes to eat 8 tacos, chug a draft beer, 2 tacos are drizzled with ghost pepper hot sauce, 8 are not.

I just happened upon this place when passing thru town. It's a great "dive" bar, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Dive bars are great. I do not mean to imply run down or dirty, because it wasn't. Just the vibe, ya know? It's an old brick building with a small inside area. But the attraction is the outdoor area out back. There's an outdoor bar, lots of seating, including couch style and 8 to 10 picnic tables. There's an area for live bands, and from what I was told, they play here regularly, but I was there at like noon so there wasn't. But it's just a cool blue collar joint. Sad to see it's

The hours online said the restaurant/bar was open at 4pm, for karaoke but we got the restaurant at 530 and found out the restaurant open until 6pm.
Walked in and was directed downstairs for karaoke.
So, not much to look at from the outside.
But....
The food and drinks were great!!
Karaoke Started at 7pm. Karaoke was good.
Bartender said she just started. Didn't know what a skinny margarita was. But... we showed her the ingredients. Se said she would go look to make sure she had the ingredients and see if she could make it for us. She was happy yo find the agave and make us two fabulous

We visited 86'd on an evening they happened to have live music which was an unexpected bonus, however, unfortunately that meant the indoor space was closed. Not anticipating to sit outside, I did not bring a jacket so sitting outside was a concern for me as it was starting to get chilly.
Regardless, we decided to give it a try and hope it wasn't going to get too cold. The outside space was really cool with an interesting outdoor open air bar, various seating areas, and a stage area where performances are held. The musician was pretty talented and he sang and played guitar throughout

A great find in Norwich! Our party of 5 sat comfortably in a corner booth inside. The servers were outstanding, very attentive and offered recommendations from the menu from their own experiences. The food had an upscale twist on traditional bar food and was as good as described. A good selection of IPA's on tap and good specialty drinks made up by our server and bartender, Jacob. To round off the experience, it was Karaoke night and we were entertained with good music and singing from some of the regulars. We'll be back!

Have visited here 3 times now and everything I've had is so delicious! I love the wings and all the specials!! Also, the blueberry lemonade is amazing! Besides the food I love the outdoor area and that there seems to always be something going on! We have gone twice to trivia and it's a fun time!! Nice little escape from reality!

Stopped by for the first time while in the area. Tacos were delicious. We had the beef, great flavor as it didn't taste like beef. Chicken was moist and the flavor of the sauce we outstanding. The Mahi Mahi ones melted in your mouth. We sat outside downstairs and the atmosphere was great. Bar is outside n music was perfect. We didn't want to leave. Would definitely come back again. Staff was very friendly.
