The lone star Buddhist Meditation Center of Texas is a place for you to learn and practice the authentic teachings of the Buddha. We are a part of the ancient Theravada Buddhist Tradition which began 2600 years ago. We provide a variety of activities and meditation classes for both Buddhists and non-Buddhists who are interested in Buddhism and Theravada Buddhist Meditation.

All the activities here are led by Buddhist Monks trained in the ancient Pali scriptures. We offer our all activities for free of charge to the public. You will find a friendly welcoming atmosphere when you visit out monastery. We hope by experiencing the teachings of the Buddha, you will find a path towed building a more joyful and compassionate life, for yourself and those you hold dear.

Important note for site admins: If you are the administrator of this website note that your access has been limited because you broke one of the Wordfence blocking rules. The reason your access was limited is: "Exceeded the maximum global requests per minute for crawlers or humans.".

If this is a false positive, meaning that your access to your own site has been limited incorrectly, then you will need to regain access to your site, go to the Wordfence "options" page, go to the section for Rate Limiting Rules and disable the rule that caused you to be blocked. For example, if you were blocked because it was detected that you are a fake Google crawler, then disable the rule that blocks fake google crawlers.
Currently, our monastery and meditation center is located in a private house, so we ask that you call to make an appointment to visit outside of scheduled program times. We are a family friendly place. While there are some activities specifically for young people, parents can decide what other events are suitable for their children.
To continue the theme of mythology, I was thinking about a conversation I had with someone about a "Spiritual Location". The conversation started with a man who I will call Scott. Scott recently spent a few days at a retreat facility in Colorado. He told me of driving on to the property, and witnessing a man in simple clothing approach a stupa, walk around it a number of times, and offer a prayer.
