Our On Demand Meditation selection has 29 different guided meditations for you to choose from. Each meditation is 30 minutes long. You have 24 hours to enjoy. This retreat is a held annually at all Kadampa Meditation Centers worldwide so that practitioners have the opportunity to come together as a community and transform their minds.

Services
Kadampa Meditation Center Houston is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization offering classes and programs in meditation and modern Buddhism that are open to everyone. Kadampa Meditation Center Houston is a part of the New Kadampa Tradition, an international Buddhist community with over 1200 centers and groups of Kadampa Buddhism around the world.
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is a fully accomplished meditation master and internationally renowned teacher of Buddhism. Geshe-la, as he is affectionately called by his students, is primarily responsible for the worldwide revival of Kadampa Buddhism in our time.
Born in a remote village high on the Tibetan plateau in 1931, he ordained as a Buddhist monk at the age of eight and spent the next twenty years studying the teachings of Buddha in the great Tibetan monasteries.

Gen Wangpo is well known for his practical and skilled way of presenting ancient Buddhist wisdom. He is particularly talented in analyzing subjects deeply, from many angles. With this, he is able to deliver advice that is effective and produces quick results. Combined with many years of Buddhist learning, and over a decade of teaching, he provides powerful spiritual guidance that benefits all aspects of human life.
Free parking is available in the lot behind the Center and on the surrounding neighborhood streets. We are currently enjoying teachings from New Eight Steps to Happiness with an emphasis on learning to maintain a loving and patient attitude even in the most difficult times. There is no limit to how early you can register in advance for our Friday Night Lectures and Saturday Day Courses.
