I am so happy at last to have found the ideal salon. After a lot of research in and around Washington DC, I discovered Susanne and I have been delighted by her work. She's an excellent colorist, and clearly takes pride in doing a great job. You get all her attention when you are with her, and she uses real natural products with no smell and no toxicity to your health.
Her assistant is great too.
The salon itself is fantastic with an environmentally conscious decor, and wonderful peaceful music with no voice interruption.

I found Sussi Hylen when I was looking for natural, organic hair color in the Alexandria, VA area—what luck! I feel so much better knowing that my hair color is safe and natural. I have been coming to Susanne, who is the owner of Hylen Spa, for years as have several people that I know and we are all very happy. Susanne is Swedish and was trained in Europe. She does haircare, skincare, massages, and other health and beauty services. What is nice about Susanne is that she gives you personalized attention. You are not marched through an assembly line. She takes time and gets to know your individual needs. She also has a good eye for detail. She has a lot of experience with hair color and she works with both women and men.
