Only rating a catered food luncheon.
Went to a catered luncheon party. The location, facility, and service was excellent. The food was just ok. Ham sandwiches were dry buns with Bologna like meat. Wings didn't have much flavor and the skin was slimy. The catfish chunks were dried out. The Hors d'oeuvres that were passed out were okay but nothing special. The salad table was again just okay. Three cakes were served; a chocolate, a chocolate and white cake with caramel frosting, and a red velvet. The red velvet was delicious. The chocolate in the other two cakes was densest I've ever

Historic hotel in Nashville with an unbelievable history surrounding the women's suffrage movement. Beautiful architecture, immaculate rooms, and very clean. I removed one star because the restaurant and bar are closed for renovations (my fault for booking during this time, I knew beforehand) but the temporary setup for bar and restaurant service is lack luster for the price. The bartender kept telling us how new she was and wanted to serve us off-menu drinks which were sub par to say the least. I'll be back once the renovations are done and will update my review.

Our stay was in celebration of our anniversary. We were greeted by valet the guys were polite and professional. Entering the hotel the marble floors and the design were gorgeous. If only the hotel could tell the stories of the past. But their was a book that explained the hotels history and all the famous people that has once stayed at this grand hotel. We got to our room, the king suite was beautiful. The bed and bedding was plush and soft made for the best sleep. I loved the deep tub but my husband enjoyed the huge shower. We ate from the oak bar and it was tasty but the coconut cake was the

Suboptimal experience. Stayed in an executive suite. AC didn't work properly on a 90 degree day. They were unable to fix it despite a couple hours of efforts and reassurances that it would finally start working. Additional issues that were minorly annoying included the hotel being under partial renovation (without us being notified beforehand) and the room TV having limited function which they also could not fix.
Outside sleeping in a $1400 room with non functioning AC in 90 degree weather the hotel suite was a little dated but nice enough. The hotel lobby was nice in an old world classical

Beautiful building, blown away by that. However, the service was abysmal from the outset. No valet stand or anyone greeting us in the car, just confused sitting in front of the building. Eventually pull towards garage, no access. A guy eventually ran by saying he'd be there in minute. Nice guy eventually took our car and guided us indoors with our own bags in hand. Walked up to the front desk at 4:45pm the day of our reservation and our room was not yet ready, they said "We're doing our best". They ask us if anyone took our bags at the front (even though they are hanging off

Beautiful place, even prettier men's room (seriously, not joking, check it out), that hit the brass bell on all the details in the bar (the huge logo branded ice cubes are adorable!) and then clunks and disappoints with watered bourbon. I really don't understand why a place like this would even use top shelf everything and then go all New Jersey Corner Bar Being Busted Out By The Mafia on the booze. Doesn't St. Peter tell you at The Gates to kick rocks for stepping on a drink? On the other hand, the chef is DYNAMITE and the the food is spectacular. So, it's basically a wash

Now I understand why this hotel is so recommended.Everything about it from The grand entrance and the antique elevators scream - history and elegance. The rooms are spacious and Updated without losing their Southern charm. Their on site restaurant was wonderful and so was the staff. I will always stay at The Hermitage when in town. The level of service along with the accommodations were 5 star.

This was my second FABULOUS stay at the Hermitage. They accommodated myself and two dogs for one effortless night while driving my SUV from Texas to my home in DC.
I pulled up to the front of the hotel and was promptly greeted by the concierge who held my door open offered to watch the car while I walked the dogs to a patch of grass down the street. Upon returning they had loaded all my luggage on to a cart. I was escorted into the lobby where I was handed keys and a water and then taken to my room. They placed my bags and the dog crate where I asked.

Toughest review to write. It is a 5 star hotel with excellent service and larger well appointed rooms. Meals were excellent. The facilities to include a pool (currently don't have one), a bigger spa and bigger gym need to be added to make the Hermitage a five star experience. I stayed at a 5 star hotel called The Strand in Yangon where they purchased the lot next to the hotel and added a pool, expended the gym and spa. The Strand was built about the same time as the Hermitage and lacked these facilities when it was originally built. This was my second stay here and if I come to Nashville

The Hermitage Hotel is this purely beautiful place that you can't quit looking at once you're inside. I have never stayed here, but I have wandered its halls and have drunk in its bar plus dined in its restaurant. People have been nothing but lovely here and hospitable. My point for writing the review is that I have spent enough time here to say that I have enjoyed it for its local amenities and its desire to preserve the historical integrity of Nashville.I aspire to have a staycation here at some point, but in the meantime, I will honor its luster from a local visitor's perspective

Brought our dog to Nashville with us and booked a room at The Hermitage Hotel. We were very impressed with the accommodations for our dog and the cleanliness of the hotel. It has an antique charm and the lobby is beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and we had plenty of pillows. The hotel is also very quiet so there weren't a lot of weird noises to wake us up. They offer cookies in the evenings which is a nice touch and they have valet parking for $38. In the closet they give you an umbrella, robes, slippers, and a safe. The rooms have a minibar for a price and offer room service. I&apos

I always ask for the most historic hotel. This was by far the worst. From Scotland, France, Ireland, Rome, New Orleans, San Francisco, The Plaza in NY, the list goes on. This place gets last. All I wanted was a nice cobbler. And they were so very rude. Begged for days. As if this was some very special cobbler. When I finally got some on my last night. It was not very good At all. Served in a paper

On top of that, our bed was never turned down and only cleaned once in 4 days. I kept the housekeeping light on and it was only cleaned on the second day. After I had left cash for the housekeeper

Hotel that is from an era long gone. Built in 1910. There are tons of brand new Omni, Hyatt, Sheraton and other chain hotels--Nashville is booming. But these hotels feel like they could be anywhere, and lack the feel of authentic luxury from that you get at the Hermitage.
It's adjacent to the Tennessee State Capital, the Tennessee Museum and the Crafts Museum. It's within walking distance of Broadway, the main honky tonk strip, the Country Music Museum and Hall of Fame and Symphony Hall. It's also around the block from the Frothy Monkey and across the street from a package store
