We have ordered pizza from here quite a few times. I would say it is above average, but definitely not my favorite. I prefer uncle oogie's and I usually only order here when oogie's has too crazy of a wait. The pizza here is boardwalk style, with the cheese and sauce swirled on it. I have never had any issues with my order. The price is reasonable, obviously going to be more money than somewhere off the island but it's in line with the other pizza places in Sea Isle. They have a variety of other menu items such as cheesesteaks, wings, pasta, hoagies but I have not tried any of them

I had a weeks vacation and was determined to try every pizza place in sea isle city. I got to say there was a lot of good pizza out there for sure. In the end I chose Phil's as the best I have tasted.
I read some of the reviews about how sweet the sauce is and I agree it is sweet but it was really good. The staff were great and I really enjoyed the pizza
I will definitely be back

I do like the pizza 50% because it's nostalgic and have been going there since the 80's but the other 50% is the sauce. We ordered pizza on way home from the beach. Hand tossed pies with sandy bottom (cornmeal) the pizza is a bit on the greasy side but still good. I wish they would have cooked a tab bit longer and been crispy.
I did give 4 stars because of the service. The people that work here act like they hate their jobs which might be the case but it's sabotaging the business' reputation. Total rudeness in the staff here and not really sure why. Not

Called to try Phil's Famous Pizza and their Upside Down specialty pie for the first time tonight. I had to call about a dozen times before finally getting through (busy signals, usually a good sign). When I finally did get through, someone greeted me and then hastily put me on hold by letting me sit on a live phone line, hearing all going on at the restaurant. While on hold for over four minutes, I heard at least three other phone orders come in and be taken, while I just sat......and sat......and sat. SAD!
I hung up, called Oogie's and after successfully ordering with them in 3

The pizza and fries tasted good. I paid $3.00 extra for pepperoni on top, but I ended up receiving 8 pieces on the entire pie. The prices are high just as all places by the beach. The lady behind the counter was rude, but the server that lives above the restaurant was great. They require customers to pay upfront, and they don't accept tips on credit cards.

As you can see their "Famous Italian Hoagie" is a roll with lettuce and other toppings; that's it. The hoagie has virtually no meat on it. It had 1 slice of meat per side of the hoagie. 1 slice of ham 1 slice of salami 1 slice of capicola. Wawa is across the street if you actually want a hoagie with meat on it instead of bread with condiments like this place "famously" serves.

In the past couple of months I've been diving into pizzas and I can say that this place is in my top pizza places. My Boyfriend and I decided to stop here because of the swirl of the cheese and sauce and really, this sauce is on point, add some oregano or chilly flakes and you have the perfect pizza. A bonus is that slices are huge!
If you're ever on sea isle stop here, you won't be disappointed.
