What began with a small order of French toast on a September morning in 2010 has grown into a booming business that puts its customers first and will do almost anything to please them. In fact, when its fourth anniversary rolled around, the Black Olive Restaurant decided to celebrate with a gift to its customers in the form of special discounts for an entire month.
Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, the Black Olive Restaurant is located at 782 South Brewster Road in Vineland. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Black Olive offers Italian, American, Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and is well known around town for its great food, atmosphere and service.

Great place and great service!! We were in for a soccer tournament and to be able to seat 28 people on a Saturday night was amazing!! The staff was very friendly and did a great job getting it all ordered and served! Everything came out hot and delicious and we were all happy we found this gem!! Definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Had a very unique experience today at the Black Olive. First, I do have to say our lunch was good. There were four of us and we all ordered the roast beef panini with sweet potato fries. But prior to our meal arriving our waitress first knocked over my glass of ice water then another glass of water and finally a cup of coffee. My pants were soaked. Thankfully I was able to stop the coffee before ending in my lap. The waitress was apologetic and moved us to another table and the restaurant did compensate us by taking $5.00 off the total bill. But it was a little uncomfortable eating lunch soaked

Really, they are a 2.5
Food was on time, staff was friendly, and that is where the stars come from.
The food was low quality, across the board, and while prices are cheaper by about 10-20% for what I have near my home, I found the quality and taste to be way lower than 10-20% worse.
Fries are better at Wendy's. Black Olive uses a very cheap, basically hollow fry that has no substance or flavor. I felt like I was eating fried filler ingredients (like fried instant mashed potatoes).
Reuben was a mess of low quality cheese, artificial-tasting dressing (that was way too sugary), and corned

This was my first time here and it was delicious! I've lived in this area for 30+ years and I'm sad I never knew it was here until today!
Even though they were busy when I first arrived, they were friendly, greeted me and directed me to a table right away. I got their soup of the day, Chicken Orzo, which was delicious (one of the best I've had in the area) and the garlic breadsticks are great, too!
My waitress and bus girl were so nice and helpful. I'm glad my friend took me here and I will certainly be returning again and recommending this restaurant to friends and family!

Tried a new place for dinner about a half hour from home. Found the Black Olive to be well worth the drive. Food was great from start to finish, service was outstanding. Two very friendly waitresses were checking on us continuously. Peaceful , comfortable and not way over priced like so many restaurants have become lately.

Another hidden gem tucked away in south jersey. We've eaten here many times and the food is always great! The breadsticks and dipping oil...OMG!! Heaven! The split pea soup is like your grandma made it, thick and hearty. The sautéed spinach is full of flavor and not bland at all. The pickled beets are different from any I've had before and really good. Their chicken francaise is so delicious! It has a nice thickened sauce with the perfect amount of lemony flavor. They also make a grilled veggie salad that'll definitely have you asking for a to-go container because it's huge

If you're a person who doesn't use seasoning on your food then this is your restaurant. I got the seafood broil and none of it had flavor. Not even the crab cakes. This is my 3rd time trying their food and every time was horrible. Over priced for no reason because the food is flavorless. The only thing that was flavorful were the garlic bread sticks and salad. That's is it and that is all.

Starting out as a date night, Black Olive was the nights destination. The food was good but service felt rushed. Our waitress was nice but didnt seem to want to wait for us to make a decision on what we wanted. Also seemed a bit as if she spent more time tending to the larger parties. Was going to order seafood until she told me is wasnt the kind of place that she would get seafood at because they do not cook it right. Seemed so rushed that my lemonade was refilled with water and brought us the wrong desserts.

I love the food. It's so good, but the service is bad. I am a loyal customer and every single time I call to order food they are very rude to me on the phone. It almost feels like they are annoyed that I am calling them. I really don't like that. Have in mind, I have not ordered once or twice I always order from them and every single time I get attitudes or people who seemed annoyed with the fact that I am calling. The restaurant is great. All their food is amazing and I would give it a 5 stars if only they would just change how they treat their customers.

Went last week with family and honestly it's cozy family environment all the way. I sincerely loved the Black Olive Breakfast Deluxe whatever the name was, although it tasted great! Especially that gravy for the hash. I suggest they have the powdered sugar on the side. Only if they could add waffles as part of that menu selection. Good hot chocolate with the perfect amount of whipped cream . I honestly like my hot chocolate much richer chocolate flavor. I recommend others to visit this place. Although I would love to try the remaining of their menu.

The Black Olive was suggested to us by friends so my wife and I went there with four others. Around 6 pm we arrived without reservations. It was packed so we had to wait around 15 minutes; no big deal.
Once seated and given a menu to peruse, I noticed that the offerings were enormous. You had choices of hot or cold subs, paninis, open face sandwiches, salads, strombolis, pizza, veal, chicken, etc. etc. I decided on a special that night. I think it was called the Italian combo. It consisted of gnocchi, ravioli, manicotti, mozzarella, with sausage in a red sauce.

On a recent camping trip we decided to go out to dinner one night. Our friends suggested this place. Upon our arrival there was a line & it appeared we would be waiting a very long time. Not so. In spite of the crowd, the place is decent size & we waited only about 15 minutes to be seated.
Warm breadsticks were brought out with a delicious oil dip w spices. After downing a few of them I ordered the crab bisque as an appy. What did I care it was a hot summer eve? The bisque was awesome!
For dinner I ordered a pasta with crab meat. Let me tell you, this was to die for! Lots of chunks

Went to this place with 5 others. We were here on a Saturday night and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table of 6 to be available. Our friends raved about the food and I have to agree all the food our table had was very very good. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana which came with soup or salad and I can honestly say this was by far the best I have had in a long long time. It was crisp, fresh and tender. It was served with spaghetti. Others had a variety of dishes between seafood and Italian dishes and not one of us could find anything wrong with any of them. (There was more then enough food

Impossible to have the food fresh prepared. Didn't take more then 10 minutes to get our order to our table.
The soup was okay; not delicious. I believe was Progresso soup.
The angel hair pasta tasted as pre packed noodles . ( 3 minutes on microwave)
Expensive .for the quality of food.
We ordered two plates and two waters and paid $70
We called to make reservation and the attendant was really rude.
I made the mistake t look up because they made a different design at the ceiling and as filled of cobwebs. The seats were uncomfortable. Definitely not coming back.

This is a hidden gem in my opinion. The food here is pretty good, not great but for the price and speed of service it's worth it. The menu has a good variety of dishes without being massive like some restaurants in the area. The dining area is a little cramped but totally usable. It can also get a little loud. None of this hurt my multiple experiences so don't let it turn you away.
