Was expecting a bit more but all in all it wasn't a terrible experience. Our site was extremely small and was on a downhill slope. The pad that the camper sat on was level but the grassy area was tiny. We had to be even more careful with our fire because 1) it was close to our camper (roughly 3-4 feet away) and 2) our kids could have easily slipped while playing in the grassy area and fallen into the fire. Thankfully our children have a general knowledge of fire safety so it wasn't a huge issue. They also require vet records for any dog in the camp site. Unfortunately I missed that requirement

Made a reservation for a primitive tent campsite. For 2 adults it was about $45 per night. We went Tuesday-Thursday in September, so we had the entire tent campground to ourselves! They also have walk in tent sites, and when we were exploring the grounds a little we saw that these were screened by trees and offered a little more privacy, so I recommend a walk in if you like your privacy. The reserved sites were more open as far as the layout goes.
They have a shop there in case you have forgotten to bring something, and you can get anything from beach towels to card games to first aid supplies

I just arrived tonight late. I called in advance to apologize and let them know I am still coming. Steve met me at the gate, full of smiles, informed me that he would guide me to my site for one night and said if I needed anything to please ask. He did great job of helping me back into my sire. It's now 10 pm! I asked if could help me with the same water hookup. First time traveling solo in a new RV! Steve was extremely helpful and wonderfully friendly. We chatted for awhile and it was the end of his shift! He is very passionate about his job and Bear Run Campground. 5 stars all the way for man

What most impressed me was the staff.
From 03/2021 until now I've traveled 15,000 miles stayed in many places the staff here at Bear Run Campground have been the best.
I've seen & hear them offer assistance to many.
They are concerned about the campers, wanting them to enjoy their stay here.
The plus of staying here is the location.
