DO NOT USE! This company installed 2 Tesla powerwalls at our house and we have had nothing but problems with it and then ever since. Multiple issues have come up with the system causing us to not have back up power during power outages in the summer and winter. The first few they came out and fixed, but not for several days to over a week and not until it cost us several hundred dollars in ruined food/frozen meat and hotel stays each time. The last issue occurred during a prolonged snow storm-the batteries just wouldn’t turn on so we sat in a 45deg house with no power and two small children until

Worst customer service I've seen in awhile! I purchased a home with solar mounted on the roof. A leak developed directly under the solar posts and is continuing to get worse. Hooked on solar came out once, looked at it, and claimed it wasn't caused by their work. Now they have been ignoring my calls and emails.
It's clear that once they get their money from you, you're dead to them. I would not recommend them because they don't support you when it matters!

You were the only vendor who did not make a personal presentation in the home. When purchasing a somewhat expensive item, I do my homework and get 3-4 quotes. The salesperson and their approach is an important part of the decision making albeit certainly not the most important. 28 panel system installed 3 years ago at cost of $40k..worked well for one year but now the system is having constant communication issues which are "conveniently" not covered and require a service tech to come out to correct..I have had 4 service visits in 2 years..and now they are charging me $275 for the visit...spoke w/ manager who said every time you change your WiFi password, or router, or internet provider, or there is power outage, ....the communication to the solar supervisor will fail and requires a service tech @$275 to respond..every other device in my house reconnects to

Purchased a solar system after much negotiation with the salesman Michael Blaise. It is a little more than I wanted to spend, but I have heard good things about the Sunpower panel and micro inverter quality.

Nicole was awesome in every way possible. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. In addition she was very professional and kind through the whole process. She was more concerned to answer my questions and assist than making a sale. The reality was I had done a lot of research about solar and different options and pricing. We just sold our house and it sold for a lot more because of SunPower solar!! We worked with Nicole Barenchi 2 years ago. A dear friend recommended her, and our friend was right. Salesman Doug was great, but everything else, not great from installers smoking cigarettes on my property to multiple monitoring malfunction notions with no backup. The owners never even called me back after installers were smoking cigarettes n my property even after I asked them to stop. The monitoring system goes down or isn't working properly at least once a week. No he'll but typically a response several days later. In my opinion, due to all the glitches in me motoring I'd look elsewhere if I could do it again.

The sales representative the installation crew and the technicians were professional, courteous, mindful and most of all highly skilled at their job. I appreciated their attention to detail and most importantly that they met the objectives of the project. There was constant communication throughout the entire process. This is a follow up review. We've had solar for over a year now and are very pleased with the continued savings in our PG&E electric bill. I was extremely skeptical about solar savings and the time to recover the initial costs, however the math does make sense if you plan to stay in your home for more than five years. As electric rates in California continue to climb, the breakeven period may be shorter. The equipment has been working flawlessly and has reduced our electric bill to almost zero. The Hooked On Solar team showed up exactly on time and were prepared for the install. They were polite, courteous and efficient. Install went smoothly and the Project Manager was there for any questions that I had during the process. The Sales Rep followed up (as usual) and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. Overall, they were completely engaged in ensuring that the install was right - very, very pleased. Would highly recommend.

Great experience with Justin Orban and Martin Singh. We were referred to Sunpower by a friend who got panels installed earlier this year, and they could not say enough good things about the company, and we're passing off the same message on this review.
Justin was super easy to work with to get all the paperwork done and ensure we were making the right choices for our needs both now and a few years into the future.
Our install was a bit delayed due to COVID, but Justin and Martin were on top of it, and kept us updated every step of the way.
