We don't tell you what you should do or judge you for your choices, whether those are about your relationships, medications, or drug use. For complex people that deserve better. We welcome people others find too challenging, think it through and use whatever modalities are necessary to succeed.
We won't leave you languishing on useless interventions but will set clear outcome goals and monitor them, changing strategies until you are thriving. As prior treatments may have done more harm and good, we often take medications away rather than add. We take a detailed and nuanced history and all our recommendations are tailored for you - your personality, experience, values, and goals.
One of the reasons people have a hard time making and sustaining improvements is because it isn't just about them. Entire families can be exhausted and burned out by conflict, psychiatric symptoms, and addictions. If there is any connection left, it can be in tatters, with cycles of withdrawal and even rage.
We primarily use EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) an empirically based model that has been shown to have recovery rates that are higher than any other forms of therapy for couples wanting to improve their relationships. EFT is a combination of humanistic, family systems, experiential, and attachment theories.

We are all dedicated to ongoing learning and so have weekly educational rounds, supervision and external expert trainers. We cannot change the past, but we can change our approach and response to triggers of distress and cravings, learn to skip trouble before it strikes and manage reactions when it does.
