The worst
The wait staff should be trained on how to handle customers.
When asked how my meal was, I literally said "disgusting, can dogs eat this?" And the reply I received was " I don't see why not, I gave my dog seafood and it didn't bother him." Then she walked away. Not one mention of maybe getting something else.
I thought I'd try again .
The next time she walked by about 5 min. or so.. I politely asked for a to go box and saying very clearly how gross I thought it was and I hope the dogs like it so it wouldn't be a waste of $60. Again, went completely over her head.
Not one apology

This was my first visit with my mom for lunch. We got a cup of fish chowder & seafood chowder, very very good. I ordered a grill cheese with tomato, it was on a soft bun looking bread, and was a bit soggy from the tomato, but was good, the fries were awesome. My mom got the chicken Ceasar salad, and I got potato skins. The salad was good, but small, the skins were a bit over done, black ends. I've never had potato skins with the liquid like nacho cheese and mozzarella on top with bacon bits. I had to ask for the sour cream that came with it. Overall it was an OK not what I expected.

The oil for the fried food was old. The French fries were extremely hard and were definitely not fresh. The chicken wings came out blacked and extremely crispy. The restaurant did take them back and took it off the ticket. Overall not the best experience but would be willing to try again to see if this was a one off

We usually go here a few times a year and get the Captains Seafood Platter..and in the past it has been pretty good..But last night August 28 2020 we ate there ,total disappointment...The food was all frozen… seafood...the shrimp were so small with so much better that's all you tasted...I could have gone to Wal-Mart and gotten better seafood in the frozen food section! Doubt we will be back!

We have eaten here before but it's been awhile. So we decided to go Saturday. It took four tries when we were being seated to find a clean table. Finally found one. We ordered seafood. That's what they are known for It came and was overcooked. We picked out the less done ones. Our food came to $70. There was no alcohol. It was terrible seafood but worst of all, what we did eat was quickly lost in the bathroom! Both of us! We are never going back and suggest you don't go. We love seafood. So very disappointed. Really, how can you screw up French fries?

This place is great. Long time local business that has been around for decades. Family been coming since the 1980s. Seafood, Italian, steaks, chicken etc. whatever you want. Appetizers, drinks, desserts. They got it all. Happy hour too. We had steamers first & then our dinner entrees. Free warm rolls with every meal too. The Village Inn # 1

I had high hope for this place and ended up thinking it was just ok. I liked the atmosphere and small town restaurant feel. The menu had a lot to choose from. I picked the smaller portion of the Captain's Platter. It had fried fish, clams, scallops, and shrimp...and I would probably rank them in that order. The meal also came with coleslaw (which was good) and fries. Everything was decent to good, but I've had better. Maybe I'd give a different dish a chance next time.

A must visit when in Lewiston.Auburn.
The best time to go is around 4:30pm
.They are very accommodating for large parties.
You can eat in the lounge as well as the many dining areas.
The food is cooked to perfection and if not satisfied say something. They value your opinion. Prrices are fair for great food!

Stopped in for lunch and ordered lobster rolls. Plenty of meat but was served on a hamburger bun. Was able to swap the fries (which looked frozen precut type) for a Caesar salad that unfortunately came with premade dressing.
Service was nice and not rushed. Decor was acceptable and the place was clean.
