An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a surgical specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects in the mouth, jaws, face, and neck. Oral surgeons are the only dental specialists who are surgically trained in a hospital-based residency program for a minimum of four years after dental school.
Going to a dentist is not one of my favorite activities, but it was a pleasure to be treated by Dr. Misch and his staff. The staff is warm and friendly and makes you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. His state of the art facility, includes the most comfortable and relaxing waiting I've ever experienced, along with pleasant treatment rooms with large windows and nice views and state of the art dental equipment.
Please let us know if you have dental insurance. Dr. Misch does not participate in any insurance plans. However, if we have received all of your dental insurance information, we will be pleased to provide you with a completed claim form so you can mail it to your insurance carrier. On the form we will instruct your insurance company to send any reimbursement directly to you.
In general, any dental problem that needs immediate treatment to stop bleeding, alleviate severe pain, or save a tooth is considered an emergency. These things can happen as a result of accidents, fights, a cavity that finally reached the nerve and more. This consideration also applies to severe infections that can be life-threatening.

If you are a candidate for multiple or full upper or lower implants you probably think you have to travel out of our area to get it. Well, you don't. The Misch Implant Dentistry team has the background, skill, education, and ability to match other providers which you hear about on TV ads and other media. Check the backgrounds and curriculum of the providers and you will find, as I did, that the Misch team surpasses all of them.

I had a procedure done yesterday and it was pretty involved. I have had no bleeding and very little pain. I am following the post-op instructions completely.
I am a retired Surgical Rn and Surgical Technician and I was very impressed with the surgeon and his surgical dental technician. They worked very well as a team and were very conscious of my comfort level.

Dr. Misch is the best of the best. His knowledge and professionalism as he prepares a plan and explains it all in understandable terms. I would give more stars than 5 if allowed. Furthermore, his entire staff, from check-in to dental assistants to check-out is friendly, proficient and professional. If you’re looking for an oral surgeon look no further.

Dr. Misch has changed my life for the better. His implant surgery has been a delightful , trouble free life changer since the implants over eighteen years ago. Though the implants have been completely without incident, every time I have a concern he is immediately there to make sure.
As far as I am concerned, our community is fortunate to have his caring expertise.
I grew up with two Yale Medical School parents and NYC hospitals. Dr. Misch's entire practice is run like a top notch surgical facility. The staff is amazing and sweet.

Drs. Craig and Katharine Misch are the cream of the Dental Implant crop. Sounds mundane, but they are truly a shining example of what happens when caring experts elevate their skills to an art. There was negligible discomfort during any and every phase of the procedure to replace my missing molar with a perfect implant, and I could not be more satisfied with the result.

I had a tooth extracted by Dr. Misch. To my amazement I have had zero pain.I felt as good coming out as I did going in for my appointment. Dr.Misch and his staff were professional, efficient, and kind. What a wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend Dr. Misch to everyone wanting good dental work.

I was referred to Dr Misch by Dr Thompson to additional shadowing experience since I had not shadowed a Prosthodontics and had not seen implants before. Dr. Misch has an amazing dental building that's focused on the patient. He is very professional and loves to lecture about his favorite OMFS procedures, especially the sinus lift. Dr. Misch is also an adjunct faculty at NYU College of Dentistry and I hope to attend one of his lectures in the future.
