I came here to purchase some riding wear as I just purchased my first motorcycle. The young lady that assisted me was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, as this was my first time purchasing. She explained quite a bit and was very patient. I will be back. Thank you

Great place to fix up your bike where they know your name! Garage space, part ordering, supplies, classes - if you ride in DC, come here. Don't get fleeced by a mechanic, or the guy on your corner block offering to touch your baby's internals. Learn, ride, love 🏍

Came in yesterday to do a top end rebuild with my friend. We were both excited to come here but it way exceeded our expectations. The staff was great, Mason was amazing and the vibe was perfect. We were there all day and can't wait to go back for the next project.

Nice retail shop with stylish, modern riding gear: jackets, helmets, gloves . It's a membership based self service moto garage, so you have access to a full suite of excellent tools, lifts, etc.. Great vibes.

I had an amazing experience last week at Dunn Lewis. I’m a student in DC for a summer internship and thus don’t have a full set of tools or a workspace available to perform more than the most basic bike maintenance. I went to Dunn Lewis, and the extremely reasonable membership rates allowed me to change my sprockets and chain in their workshop, getting guidance and a bit of help all the while from the knowledgeable and friendly community inside.
The kicker is that I’m not really a mechanically experienced guy. A basic 2 hour max procedure ended up taking me twice that, and they kept the

Pretty impressive motorcycle apparel shop, they offer DIY workshop memberships. The main purpose of the space is to allow riders to bring in bikes--many there were vintage--to repair them. They offer several different levels of membership. I thought it was well executed. If you are into motorcycle apparel and other products, Dunn Lewis has a full line of something available for you. I really liked their helmet selection.

Went for a free Intro to Maintenance workshop. The guys were super nice and helpful. They made the idea of working on a bike less intimidating. The shop is nice and also has a small slection of gear.

Love this spot. As a new (and woman) rider, the bike scene can be intimidating - and isn't always super welcoming. Most of the other bike shops I stepped foot in managed to mansplain me right back out the door.

Laurel was patient and helpful as I tried on literally every pair of pants (men and women) in the showroom. The crew there was also super gracious in helping me with some basic questions about my new bike.

Love my new riding pants and gloves. Really looking forward to coming back to take a basic maintenance class, learn more about fixing my bike up myself, and meeting more riders

It's awesome to have a shop like Dunn Lewis in DC. They are the go-to place for motorcycle accessories and do it yourself motorcycle maintenance and repairs in the DCMV area. Their prices are very reasonable, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and they have an excellent workspace with a varied selection of tools if you need a place to turn a wrench. Highly recommended!

Dunn Lewis isn't just a great store for gear and motorcycle supplies--it's a hub of the DC moto scene. It's also a great place to learn more about your machine, make repairs, and customize.

Gear selection is limited to make finding what you want easy. The shop is very spacious to keep the space feeling more like a hangout than a warehouse for merchandise. A lot of the brands are not distributed by any other brick and mortar shop in the area (Saint comes to mind), and all are high quality and stuff you would actually buy.

There is also a selection of supplies, which is targeted

Best place in town for motorcycles if you're looking to get your hands a little dirty and make some new friends.
I came in to manually change both my front and rear tires on my Kawasaki KLR 650 myself because I wanted the experience (you never know if when you're going to need to do it on the side of the road). Received just the right amount of guidance, tools and great conversation while working.
Went ahead and signed up to be a member and will definitely be coming back.

I needed to work on my bike but couldn't do so in my apartment complex parking lot. Dunn Lewis was perfect for my needs. Reasonably priced and with a growing assortment of tools (even though I brought my own), I was able to fix it quickly and painlessly. Highly recommend for anyone who needs space for maintenance.

This place is nuts. Membership has two levels; basic gives you access to a workshop where you can wrench on your bike (they provide tools), but if you need to open up your engine you have to get the higher tier membership. They host MotoGP viewings. They host social gatherings for us 2-wheeled chuckleheads. Union Station is across the street, so you can legitimately stay all day and eat superbly. The owners are really nice, always have a kind word and interesting conversation. There's really no downside.
