Excellent eye health and optimal vision are our ultimate goals for you. A comprehensive examination means a complete evaluation to determine your level of seeing at both near and far distance as well as peripheral vision and depth perception checks. It will also include dilation which enables the doctor to clearly see the inside of your eye.
While serving the Upstate for over 40 years, Dr. Steven Nigh has earned the trust and respect of patients and colleagues alike. Dr. Steven gets to know his patients and engages them in such a way as to properly and accurately address their specific needs. Specializing in primary eye care and vision therapy, Dr. Steven has had the opportunity to transform many lives through dramatically improved eyesight, eye health and function.
She loves interacting with people in the office and in her free time she enjoys studying biology, drinking coffee and hanging out with friends and family (including her Grandaddy, Dr. Steven and her Uncle, Dr. David). Wendy has been with us since 2013. Having lived in Greenville her whole life, Wendy has a unique ability to connect with nearly all of our patients.
The Nigh Eye Group accepts a wide variety of insurance plans that cover regular eye exams and glasses prescriptions as well as contact lens fittings. When you call to make your appointment, please have the information for your vision insurance provider available to give us over the phone. This will allow us to serve you efficiently during your appointment and significantly reduce wait time.
Your time is valuable and we want your experience at our office to be exceptional. To expedite the check-in process, we suggest you call us at (864) 234-5777 and provide your vision insurance information (when applicable) ahead of time. You can also fill out the following paperwork and bring it with you to your appointment.

I absolutely love this place. The doctor's and their assistants are so friendly and communicative. If you don't understand something, they are ready to explain until you fully understand. Only reason I selected a 4 star was that I was a little upset that my charge was higher than what they said it was going to be before I went back. The extra charge was for the retinol imaging, which they did not for warn me. So, when I was provided the total when everything was said and done, the girl up front wasn't very pleasant when I asked about the extra charge. She acted like I should have known that. I

I am a huge fan of this practice. I have been in glasses since I was 7 and been to many different practices. This has been by far my best experience. From the first phone call to each eye exam and problem solving visit, I cannot say enough good things about this group’s overall customer service and expertise.

We are an orthodontic practice in N. Greenville and today a one of our patients inadvertently received a splash into one of her eyes when we were rinsing her tooth - something that can happen even while using safety glasses. This moisture contained one of the chemicals commonly used in dentistry but can be quite irritating to one's eye. While she was using our Eye Rinse station we were on the phone to an eye specialist to see her immediately for evaluation and any treatment. We had to call three offices before I could locate someone who would see her quickly. Dr. Nigh's office was wonderfully professional

Been a patient for years and have always received excellent care despite my stubbornness. Dr David recently was able to work me in as an emergency and was able to catch a rather potentially bad issue quickly and thankfully have already had a great deal of resolution already. This is my second time coming to Dr. David Nigh and it was such a great experience all around. I love the new location in Taylors. What I truly appreciate about Dr. Nigh is that he will work with you till you find the contact lenses that work for you. He truly cares about his patients being satisfied and happy. I had a wonderful first visit with Dr. Nigh. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and on top of it! Between check in and waiting in the room for the doc, it was about 5 minutes total. They have advanced technology that isn’t invasive, so my eyes were not dilated and left feeling sensitive and irritated. In the 30 years I’ve been going to an eye doctor, I can honestly say this was the most informative and productive appointment I’ve had. I have found the practice that I will continue to go to for many years to come! Thank you Nigh Eye Group. You all are wonderful!
