At the Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics, instead of relying on surgery and prescriptions to help patients dealing with chronic pain and injuries, we use an often overlooked and proven solution: a doctor's touch. Here, our experts combine time-tested methods with the latest technology to treat the source of a problem rather than the symptoms, allowing our patients to heal, thrive, and get back to their lives.

I highly recommend Dr. Joel Stein and the entire staff. I have been going to here for over 15 years. Great experiences. I was involved in a horrific car accident, which I could barely walk afterward. I received all my care at this office, and a week later I stopped using the walker! 3 months later, I was well again.
Services
Led by our medical director Dr. Joel Stein, our doctors are united in their mission to provide world-class care for our patients that delivers long-term solutions while uplifting their overall health at the same time. Combining the latest technology with the traditional, hands-on approach of osteopathic medicine, they're able to help our patients finally heal and get answers to longstanding questions so they can have a brighter future.
All you need to do to take the first step toward a better, healthier future is schedule an appointment at the Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics. Just let us know which office you'd like to visit, and you'll hear from our team within a day or so to help you choose a specific time. We look forward to meeting you and offering proven solutions to your problem, and be sure to give us a call if you have any questions.
The Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics is dedicated to making our patients' lives easy while they are receiving the treatment they need, and to make visiting us as convenient as possible, we're proud to have four locations in Florida. No matter where you might be, you can trust that you aren't too far from us.
With this in mind, we are happy to share the additional steps we are taking to make every visit to our office as safe as possible. These actions are incremental to our normal standards of care that already meet or exceed all CDC and OSHA guidelines for medical practices. Our goal is to add peace-of-mind to the friendliness and clinical excellence you have come to expect.
We're ready to give you hope for a better future, one that is free of pain and constant worry about how you'll feel tomorrow. The Institute for Non-Surgical Orthopedics is eager to help you tackle the source of your problem so that it goes away, stays away, and you're able to live your life to the fullest without limits.

These are the best doctors around! My mom was a patient of Dr. Stein's since I was a baby, and even though she's no longer with us, I'm still a patient, and I'm 39! Dr. Stein, Dr. Albert, and the other staff are godsends. I've referred several friends there, and I'll be a patient as long as there's an office. Christina, at the front desk, is wonderful too. I can't thank them enough.

I see dr Stein and he’s a great doctor!! He’s been pretty spot on of what was wrong with my back prior to even getting an MRI. After getting MRI, it was confirmed what he thought was the issue so he definitely knows what he’s doing. I have a herniated disk and have been to many treatments and still have not fully healed but from my understanding it could be a bit so nothing faulty of the doctor. My only complaint of this facility is the waits- every time I have gone in I wait min 30 min, typical wait 45 min and I’ve waited nearly 2 hours at one session. The only reason I’d switch docs

No stars. Horrible place to go with bad service and the old white lady at the front desk is disrespectful and rude. Changing providers ASAP.
Show up there on time and they don't see you until 20 mins later.
Never sent my paper work over and the doctor has a million interns.
When I called the front desk old lady yelled at me and hung up and said she had people to check in. She needs to be fired.

I have been seeing Dr. Stein and his staff for over 22 years...wouldn't go anywhere else for pain related issues. This guy knows his stuff. Love Linda at the desk as well as Kathy and Evie in the back. They are all very personable and make you feel like you are the only patient there.

After a 11/2 years of trying to solve back and hip pain. Dr Stein and Dr Albert got to the root of my debilitation.
I have tried accupunture, chiropractic, physical therapy, and 3 orthopedic practices I FINALLY found drs that listened to me rather than staying only in their path.
Forever indebted to the office personel..especially Linda and the sweetest Christina

I went to the orthopedic doctor here after a significant car accident. My neck was extremely sore and I couldn't feel my arms and hands. After examining me, the doctor said that it must be carpal tunnel syndrome. I got a second opinion, and it turns out that all of the discs in my neck are either bulging, herniating, or, in the doctor's words, totally shredded. I don't know why they rushed me in and out. I did not feel as though I was taken seriously

DO NOT GO HERE. First of all, I never saw this Dr. Stein person. I only saw doctors who were doing a fellowship or worse students. This is a teaching facility so you don't get the best help. I went here sadly for 6 months because they kept saying let me run a test or I'll give you a shot. When they gave me a shot in the neck I couldn't turn my head. I was so worried that I went back the next day and they were like "Sometimes that happens no big deal, you'll be able to move it again". It took a week for me to be able to move my neck. The one main Dr. I did see who oversaw the fellows was Dr. Trainer

Dr. Teffeau has been providing OMM treatments for more than a year to relieve migraines. Not only have I been able to move off of daily medicines, but the frequency of my migraines has decreased. Dr. T cares about his patients and wants them to get better. He is incredibly caring and spends ample time with you. I highly recommend Dr. T for any of your Sports Medicine or OMM needs.

I have been going here 4 years to deal with strengthening my skeletal structure and muscle re education after fall and strokes. I went from nothing to being able to walk and do my own laundry again, which is a huge difference than laying around in a nursing home! The office people are great and the Drs are fabulous! Many thanks to ALL on the TEAM there! The PT adjacent, Wendy, is wonderful! And my secret uber PT is the best there is!!!

I don't do a lot of reviews but my experience this morning was so remarkably terrible that I feel compelled.

Two weeks ago I called and found out that Dr. Brown had sold her practice to Dr. Andrew M. Teffeau, DO and so I made an appointment to see Dr. Teffeau. I was told the earliest I could get in to see him was this morning. The lady on the phone asked me for my insurance information which I provided.

So today I showed up for my appointment and was told that it didn't exist. I was pretty confused and couldn't figure out why I didn't have an appointment after setting
