As an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, Dr. Steven Gorin, DO, is passionate about helping his patients of all ages at the Institute of Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics maintain active and healthy lives. To this end, Dr. Gorin offers the latest therapies and surgical techniques to his patients in the North Miami, Florida, community.
Carolina has happily joined our AOSMI family with 19 years of medical experience! As we grow, she is here to help! You may see her taking a patient history in Spanish, drawing blood for PRP, verifying benefits or getting authorizations for surgery. If she answers when you call for an appointment, be sure to say hi!
Esther has been working as a Medical Assistant for over 30 years and has worked closely with Dr. Dennis and his former associates for the past 16 years. She has a heart of gold and will go out of her way to provide our patients with the best attention and care! I broke my shoulder in July, I went to see Doctor Dennis fearing I needed surgery due to my MRI diagnosis. I really appreciated the fact that Dr Dennis didn’t push for surgery and got me into physical therapy. He took the time to explain the damages and the healing process. He answered my questions and gave me hope. Carla is doing my physical therapy located at the same office, and she is great by being positive and motivating and explaining every exercise and the reason for it. They have a great team there, front desk greets me by my name when I walk in and I feel like a person and not only

On March 2021 I had arthroscopy shoulder rotator cuff repair surgery.
I was very pleased with the excellent care that I received from Dr. Michael Dennis and staff. Prior to the procedure all of my questions were explained with patience and clarity.
After the procedure (which was a great success) I called the office a few times with additional questions and spoke with Esther (the nurse on staff). Esther always responded in a timely manner and made me feel at ease.

From the office staff, the x-ray pro, the PA and Dr. Dennis himself, outstanding care, compassion, professionalism, and utmost efficiency. As a retired Airline Captain, I know SOP's, they got MRI approval in less than 36 hours and saved a week of worry by moving up my follow up appointment by a week. Beautiful state of the art facility in Aventura, Florida. Medical conditions explained in a down to earth fashion, easily understood. Great job staff, congratulations, you dedication is crystal clear, believe me.

I am totally impressed with the accuracy and professionalism of the staff at Dr. Dennis' office. I needed an emergency appointment due to a fall and arm pain. I was given one within 30 minutes. The PA and doctor were amazing. The office is clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this doctor. Oh! Unlike most orthopedic doctors his first choice for treatment wasnt surgery like most. Thank you Dr. Dennis and staff for a great experience

I’d an bike accident 5-6 weeks ago. I was very lucky to find one of the best orthopedic surgeon in South Florida. Thanks to him my surgery went very well. Healing process was smooth.
