Henry collected and sold scrap metal, paper, rags and animal hides. With his brother Alex the business grew over the years into a commercial and industrial scrap yard. In 1971, The Henry Fligeltaub Company was purchased by Joe Morgan who initiated a major expansion in personnel, equipment and property that made the company a state-of-the-art recycler of scrap metals.
The Henry Fligeltaub Company provides customized metal recycling services to major industrial and commercial accounts through-out the Tri-State area. Large or small, we will work with you to maximize the returns on your industrial scrap while providing the service you require and that respects the needs of the environment.
We know that contractors need to maximize their return on the scrap metal they recover from each demolition and construction job. This requires a recycling partner that has the equipment, quality and integrity to make recovery as convenient and profitable as possible. We have the right job-site equipment for projects of all size: from the largest commercial sites to the smallest.
Our location allows us to be one of the few metal processors capable of shipping by barge, rail and truck. Our Harris TG2229 has a 6' x 20' charging box that can compress large bulky material into a dense 2' x 2' quality bundle. Our Marathon material baler can process nonferrous metals, cardboard, plastics, and other recyclables into compact bundles for easy shipment.
Henry Fligeltaub Company offers a competitive wage and benefits package which includes major medical, dental, life and 401k match, along with paid holidays, vacation and quarterly bonus opportunities. Henry Fligeltaub Company is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace that requires pre-employment drug screens.

Extremely dissatisfied!!!! I understand you risk your vehichle when you come i to a scrap yard but after being ignored, told to sort our own junk into the bins, and then getting a FLAT TIRE bc of metal (once again i know the risk) when we asked if we could borrow a jack to change it bc it was completely to the rim, we get an attitude from the guy behind the desk and his exact words were (you took that risk when you pulled in here so IF i can find the time and IF my maintenance guys have the time we might bring one out to you. So here it is 30 freaking min later and they "still dont have time"

Visited on a Saturday morning. I didn't really know where to go, so I drove up the scale and the gentleman at the window asked what I had. I told him and he directed me where to go. There was a short wait for my turn. The employee helping me unload was super nice (despite the 25 degree temperature outside). I got my receipt, took it to the office and they paid me cash. Now that I've been there, I will definitely be going back.

I just returned from my first visit to this scrap yard. I was VERY disappointed with the service I received. The man at the scale was very rude to me. I got confused about where to go in the scrap yard (which may have been my mistake but he wasn't at all specific about where to go), and went back to the scale to ask again. When pulling back up on the scale he hung out of the window and motioned me to back off of it with an extremely condescending look on his face. I backed off and pulled up on the side of it. After waiting a couple minutes for him to come back to window I asked where again. He
