Reiki, pronounced ray key. Developed by a Japanese Buddhist named Dr. Mikao Usui in 1922. An ancient Tibetan Buddhist technique, developed in Japan in the late 19th to early 20th century by Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926). A Reiki session will consist of bio-energy process which draws energy into the practitioner's body and then transfers through his or her hands into the client.
The practitioner uses common hand placements on the front and the back of the clients body. No private areas will be touched. The client lies on a massage table fully clothed except for the removal of shoes. Reiki energy is a safe and non-invasive healing tool and can activate the natural healing processes of the client's body and restore physical and emotional well being.

The person receiving Reiki lays fully clothed on a massage table. The practitioner holds her hands on or above the client. The healing energy comes thru the Reiki Practitioner's hands. The Practitioner works through a sequence of hand positions. The client's body then draws the amount of energy that is required for healing.
