Their food is always soooo amazing. One of my only complaints about this place is that some of the chef's don't put on much of a show as others leaving you watching a different table over yours, but other than that the food comes out amazing every single time. The sushi is always on point as well.
The Wife and I love coming here. If you haven't gone, GO!

The service was horrible! With a reservation, we had a 45min wait. Only to then be rushed by staff! The moment our food was completed our server brought out to go boxes. We were denied refills on our non-alcoholic drinks"because they had called last call". My daughter was not able to get her birthday dessert "because the kitchen was closed". Which was highly disappointing as this was her birthday dinner. To make matters worse; my sister and cousin witnessed a staff member use the restroom and not wash her hands!!!! This woman literally walked straight out the bathroom!!! Needless to say myself

An okay group dining experience. It was my first time here and most likely, the last. They put on a decent hibachi grill show for Fort Wayne, but it's a little pricey for what it is. Food was okay, not great. I'm not a fan of paying $$ for rice-based meals when rice costs pennies. Overall a mediocre dining experience. Nothing I would consider going back for, as the food quality and taste was on par with our local oriental buffet places.

Simply amazing.
This was our second choice.
We originally picked a Chinese dinner establishment. Can you believe our first choice does not serve lemons?
This is starting to be a thing?
After walking out of our first choice, we went to Sapporo.
They are now on my first choice list!
Fresh tasty sushi, amazing hibachi, and wonder of wonders, they serve lemons!!!
Service is top shelf. Food is even better!
Go for a slow dinner, it's worth it.

Long wait, had reservation and still had to wait. Been sitting at hibachi table for an hour and still nobody cooking our food. Just finally got appetizers after a 1/2 hour and still no cook. Haven’t refilled our drinks. Horrible service. Better off going to takioka. We got here at 6pm and still no food at 7:35pm

Sapporo was delicious. We arrived about 5pm and we were seated right away. We didnt use the Hibachi grill, if you prefer to enjoy the Hibachi grill make sure that you make a reservation. The food was excellent and they were very attentive to our table needs. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!! If my review is helpful to you, would you please like it?

I'm half Japanese and have been looking for a decent sushi joint ever since I moved to Fort Wayne. One of the first places I went was Sakura, where I got violent food poisoning and subsequently stopped searching for a while. With both my husband and me vaccinated, we decided to venture out and try a new place.
Big mistake.
Cold sake was good and a decent price. Gyoza was good. Service was good. But the sushi was objectively terrible. We paid about $45 for four rolls. The rice was overcooked, mushy, and did not taste like sushi rice at all - it was basically a massive lump of rice mush

I love the Hibachi steak and shrimp. It's always delicious. I am currently cutting back on red meat, so I tried the salmon instead. It was good, but not as good as the steak and shrimp in my opinion. I will get the salmon again. I went in the following week for lunch and got the crazy roll. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and oh so yummy. The clear soup and the salad is always flavorful. A must try even if you have to get it to go.

I have been here several times. Always a good experience. If you want shrimp/yum yum sauce you have to ask for it. They do give you a a ginger and mustard sauce.
I would say this is your typical Hibachi experience, except for having to ask for yum yum sauce. Comical chef doing the same act as every other chef here or elsewhere. Soup and Salad complimentary with one free grilled shrimp per guest.
Once nice thing is the Sapporo beer. It comes in a big can.

Sapporo is a nice sushi and hibachi restaurant on the north side of Fort Wayne. Our server was very nice and on top of everything throughout the evening. They had a nice drink menu with some pretty tasty house cocktail options. The hibachi show itself was a little underwhelming in comparison to others that I've seen but, this wasn't a big deal. I felt safe health wise because the restaurant also did a good job social distancing everyone.
I would definitely give this place a try if you're in the mood for hibachi.

A Covid19 takeout review.
I ordered shrimp and chicken, it came with fried rice with veggies, I requested no soup or salad. That was my single take order. The total cost was $29.90.
I appreciated the speed of my ordering process, the at car service, and the kind staff.
I was a little dismayed by the total cost for one meal.
The meal was good, but I'm not sure it was worth $29.90. My veggies were cooked a little too long, as they were no longer crisp but rather mushy. The rice was ok, not the best, but ok. I have a feeling that the in dining experience offers more in the taste and value

We came on New Year's Day with a group of 9 when we were seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes before we were greeted by the waitress. Granted it was a very busy night and we understood that. We ordered our food and waited an additional 30 minutes before the cook came out, but the kitchen got our order wrong so we had to talk to the waitress about it to fix the mix up. During this entire exchange, our waitress was giving us attitude and rushed through the conversation, missing details in our order. So the conversation had to be longer than needed because we had to make sure both parties understood
