Pilates mainly concentrates on cultivating the core strength in the body and lengthening the spine. Also, Pilates is a valuable tool for increasing strength, definition and proper posture. Yoga aims to work the body equally and unite the body with mind and spirit. Yoga is often considered therapeutic, when compared to Pilates, as it helps people find harmony and release stress.
Lesa Vigil has been teaching Pilates since 2004. In 2004 she received her mat and standing Pilates teaching certifications from PhysicalMind Institute. In 2006 she began teaching Pilates equipment one-on-ones. She received her Pilates equipment certification in late 2009. Lesa has always been interested in fitness, health and well-being.
Pilates+Props Promote spine health, and increased flexibility with the use of props. We utilize resistance bands, light weights, fitness balls, and weighted bars, for all over body toning. At Body Rehab we are passionate about Pilates. That is why we are offering a Fundamentals class. In Pilates we try to restore our neutral positions to maintain or regain strength and mobility in the most efficient way that is free of injury and pain.
