Went here for individual therapy and counseling due to struggling with a lot of issues for a long time. Dr. Mallett offers a lot in terms of communication. It is the key that I want, to be able to see someone is talking back to me, responding to how I feel. I think, I like to feel as though my words are heard, I'm not looking to be understood, but that, what I'm saying is not falling under deaf ears. I understand that I am stubborn, and things take a while to sink in, but the fact I am being heard, makes a huge difference in continuing to work with her.

Florida Family Options Counseling has been amazing to me thus far. I struggled feeling comfortable with a therapist until I started coming here. When COVID-19 broke out, I was afraid that I would lose what I spent so much time looking for - an amazing therapist that could actually help me towards my goals and overcome my anxiety and depression. I was assured that they would do everything they could for me and although I couldn't see my therapist in person, I could still talk to her through teletherapy sessions which has been amazing. My experience with Dr. Tracy Mallett was very good. I appreciated her knowledge of many areas that my family was struggling with. She was able to see things from my perspective, and also my husband's point of view. Although I didn't like everything she had to say (smile), I eventually saw that everything she said was to help us function better as a family. Change is hard, but she kept saying, "Doing this work now is an investment in your relationship and your family's future." She couldn't have been more right. This is the only review I ever posted as I'm frustrated and want to share this so others don't make the same mistake. It was a big mistake when I contacted Dr. Tracy to seek her help for our marriage. My wife has spent nearly $10k for her services as the doctor ran up bills letting her rant endlessly on the phone, rather than asking her to come in for a session. It could have been more beneficial in person, as my wife would had to make a real effort and not just when the moment hit her, so she can take positive steps rather than just venting. I started seeing Dr. Tracy Mallett for the first time three years ago. She did a good job of listening to me explain my situation, empathizing with me, and then helping me create a plan to change my situation. I went in there thinking that she could help me get my husband to change. I realized during our work together that the only one I can change is myself. Attending counseling was a first for our family. It was a difficult step to admit we needed help but our daughter was having some pretty extreme behavioral issues and we knew it was going to get better on its own. Everyone at Florida Family Options was so helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that we had the right therapist for our daughter. This was not an easy thing to go through but our family came out stronger and much closer because of it. I am so thankful to everyone at Florida Family Options. It was easy to schedule an appointment, and the therapist was honest and upfront about what marriage counseling could and couldn't do for us.
