Services
School. Health. When you need it most, our therapists are here to provide a safe, supportive space to help you work through personal and relational concerns. Together, we pursue the breakthrough you need. Our therapists are available 8am-9pm, Monday-Saturday. We will work to find an appointment time that is convenient for you.
Our staff at Westminster Center includes licensed clinicians, pre-licensed clinicians, and para-professionals. We represent a broad diversity of experience and expertise to serve our clients' needs. Our pre-licensed clinicians are supervised by a consulting clinical professional. Katherine has been practicing marriage & family therapy for 20 years.
Westminster Center is situated in a comfortable, old home that has been turned into a professional building. Eight counseling rooms provide a relaxed atmosphere for our clients and therapists to work together. Free parking is available on the south side of Atchison or in the parking lot at the corner of Atchison & Fiske.
Whether this is the first time you've considered therapy or you've seen a counselor in the past, committing to therapy is an important decision. A: Counseling isn't just for when life feels out of control. It is also a preventative measure before things get overwhelming. Therapists can help you think differently about your situation and find new ways to solve problems.
During this unprecedented health crisis, many people need help coping with overwhelming struggles like fear, depression, anxiety and grief, but don't have the financial means to pay for it. On a personal recommendation from a friend I went to see Katherine and was blown away by the quality of counseling here.
Obviously the gains in counseling depend on personal effort, but it is comforting to know that Katherine was very equipped, experienced, and knowledgeable about a range of topics to help me.
Most people complain about how expensive counseling is in general but think about this way: Most things you buy in life depreciate. A sweater, your car, etc. Counseling is one of the rare things in life which appreciate over time. It continues to feed me years after I've stopped counseling

I came to Westminster with my fiance (well, she's my wife now!) for pre-marital counseling because I figured.. if we were spending so much energy money and time on a wedding, which is one day... I wanted to make sure we were also investing into our marriage, which would last forever. Our counselor was professional, warm, and interjected at just the right times. She led us through a process of dialog where my fiance and I were able to see our strengths as a couple, and also highlighted areas for continued dialog. I had a good experience here. They offer a sliding scale so that everyone can afford it and my counselor was very kind, understanding and flexible with her time. This place has a very homey vibe (its inside a remodeled california craftsman house) and I really felt very well cared for by my counselor and also by other counselors I interacted with during my time there. I recommend this place if you're going through a rough patch and are looking for guidance and help sorting through your thoughts.

With our wedding coming up in a couple of months my Fiancee and I wanted to find a premarital counselor who could help us prepare for the upcoming months before the wedding and rest of our lives after it. Being new to the area we didn't know where to start and after a long search throughout the Pasadena area we found Westminster Center.

I went here during a rough patch in my life. I had referrals from other centers when I was seeking counseling and they thought this would be a good match for me. So I tried it. I talked with the intake counselor who interviewed me extensively. She initially picked someone for me whom I didn't think would be a good fit. So then she referred me to another counselor at the center. She gave my info to the counselor who would contact me to set up an appointment. I got an appointment within a few days of the initial intake interview
