Services
PHENIX Physical Therapy & Personal Wellness is an integrative practice that brings physical therapy and wellness together in a collaborative setting to optimize your health and wellness. We specialize in the rehabilitation of patients who have sustained injuries, undergone surgical intervention or have pain that limits their quality of life.
Understanding what isn't working properly in the way you carry out your daily activities or during sports performance is the first step to creating a plan to improve your function. Our therapists will perform a thorough evaluation that considers your structure, flexibility, strength, balance and function to create a treatment approach that is individually tailored to your specific needs.
Part of our integrated model of care at PHENIX Physical Therapy & Personal Wellness includes involvement in the community in which we serve. We believe that to thrive as members of our community, we must invest our time and resources to build bridges, strengthen bonds and give back to our neighbors.
Katie joined the PHENIX team in August of 2018. Previous to her joining our staff, she practiced as a traveling physical therapist at various locations across the country, as well as 2 years at Proliance Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation of Bellevue between her travel assignments. Katie is quite happy to return permanently to the west side of Washington with the mountains in her back yard.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Colby College in 2005 where she focused on Biological Sciences and surviving the Maine winters. Julie earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During her professional training she was recognized with multiple awards for excellence in academics, research, leadership and community service.

I've been dealing with 14 years of chronic pain from a sports injury I suffered. I've seen everything from acupuncturists, to chiropractors (yes, several), different specialists, etc. I've never been able to overcome my issue. In fact the day the injury occurred marked the last day I would ever be competitive in the sport.
Vivian diagnosed what was going on after a 20-30 minute assessment and we've spent the last 8 weeks targeting the area and supporting areas. To say that in just 8 weeks my life will never be the same is honestly an understatement. I've got a long journey ahead, sure, but I cannot

I've been here for everything from injury recovery to preparing myself to head back to the gym. They've helped me recover from just about every joint injury I've had over the last 3 years. Highly recommend!

My experience at Phenix exceeded my expectations! All the therapists are terrific! Katie did an outstanding job motivating me! She is great! Rehabilitation needs were first a hip replacement then this summer for a knee replacement.
I highly recommend this rehabilitation facility.

Going to PT is never easy. Doing the work is never fun. But the team at PHENIX have created a calm, cool, friendly environment and have changed the overall PT experience for me — making it something I actually look forward to vs. dreading. You can always count on a warm welcome, good music, and amazing care.

In late spring 2019, I had a total hip replacement and was referred to Phenix PT in Issaquah. I want to make sure I express my gratitude to the best PT group I have ever worked with. A PT can easily just do the therapy as it not hard to do. I would like to recommend Phenix Physical Therapy, and in particular, Julia Baron, although they were all very good. To be an exceptional PT, you have to be a part time psychologist, in order to create the program that will fit the client. They do that there as if it was a natural part of your therapy. They fit the program perfectly for me. I was impatient to

This is the best place to get physical therapy! The staff are knowledgeable and effective but still make the whole experience a lot of fun. I would 100% go back to Phenix for physical therapy in the future.

My doctor recommended Phenix Physical Therapy for my back. Julie was my Therapist who did a fabulous job. She was concerned and thoughtful about my condition and within a few weeks my back pain was gone. I highly recommend the Therapists that work there and will without a doubt use them in the future.

At Phenix Physical Therapy, I worked with Julie Baron who is awesome! She is encouraging and supportive, and at the same time gently challenging you to push yourself harder. I recovered in a remarkably short amount of time.
