Services
Founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, these Core Values are integral to the mission here at Bishop Diego High School. A Bishop education forms young men and women not just into excellent students but into people of character, as they are taught to lead lives guided by these Christian principles.
Bishop Garcia Diego High School is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). WCEA accredits Catholic elementary and secondary schools in nine western states (26 (arch) dioceses) and the US Territory of Guam. WCEA co-accredits and is in partnership with three Regional agencies (WASC, NAAS, NCA CASI) and two private agencies (CAIS and HAIS).
We trace the earliest roots of our school and every Catholic school in California to the educational system founded by Saint Junipero Serra, the tireless Apostle of California. Bishop Diego High School combines the rich heritage of our predecessor schools. In 1914, Dolores School opened a Catholic high school program for girls in downtown Santa Barbara.

Bishop Garcia Diego High School is a great school for everyone. My experience at Bishop so far has been fantastic. Everybody there is so kind and friendly. Even though I started off online due to covid, the teachers always encouraged me to be present and to do my best. I know that may sound basic, but I truly am thankful for Bishop. Everybody at Bishop includes everyone. You never have to worry about not making friends or sitting alone at lunch. Everybody is so inclusive and always has an open hand for you. The teachers are all so kind to the students. They make class fun while still teaching so

As a student at bishop, I can say that the community is very inviting and inclusive. I’m only a sophomore at the school but I already have made so many memories I will have forever. The sports programs are amazing and give you a chance that not many other schools give you. Similarly, the education system allows you to grow in both your faith and education. The teachers and students are all very kind.

I love being a student at Bishop, making so many memories and receiving a valuable Catholic education. The teachers are excellent at their jobs, making sure that their students understand the information and are engaged in class, especially during online learning. I cannot wait to spend 2 more wonderful years strengthening my relationships with my teachers, my friends, and most importantly, God.

As a teacher at Bishop Diego High School, I can attest to the quality of educational experience your child will receive here. The administration team works diligently to make sure the students and the faculty are well taken care of and have their needs met. One aspect of Bishop Diego that stands out to me is it's ability to differentiate teaching based upon each students learning styles and needs.
