I was one who was NEVER going to put her child in daycare. Our finances said otherwise. My son began as a 21 month-old and I never once regretted my choice. When my daughter was born, I was getting a divorce, my son was starting 1st grade and Coulee Children's Center became our "constant". We were loved, valued, and taken care of. My son is now in college and my daughter in high school. Both have the most solid of foundations in part to their being a part of Coulee Children's Center.

I brought my daughter to the infant room. While she was there I noticed things that made me nervous to have another child attend the room.
They would wrap babies in blankets and at one point I had to remove a blanket from a babies face that was up to his forehead. Even after informing the Director they still swaddled the babies this way. One day I walked in and a 4 month old was sleeping in a swing facing the wall with a burp rag covering her eyes. The staff could not see her and said it was to block the lights. Another day a baby was laying on their back with a bottle they could barely hold.

I have had my 2 children at Coulee Children's Center in various classrooms as they have aged. My youngest started in the infant classroom and graduated through the 4 year old kindergarten program.
I couldn't think of a more loving and dedicated group of individuals with little ones. I couldn't speak higher of the programming and learning activities that happen during the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any individual looking for childcare. You would be hard pressed to find another agency better than Coulee Children's Center.

I would have liked the center a little bit better if me and my daughter felt welcomed, not only did I feel un welcomed but when I would always pick my daughter up she would be playing alone a lot of the time as if the staff didn’t really care for her.another thing I noticed was, I would see my daughter crying and staff did not make any effort to redirect my kid to something eles to help from crying or try in cheer her up in a different way. I get it, kids cry but they would do nothing but just let her cry. I’ve stood in the door way twice and noticed that for my own eyes. One huge thing that

We love the care givers. They took the time to get to know my daughter. Asked me questions on what she liked and didn't like to better her experience there. The staff are so informative and ready/willing to help. We are moving down to Texas but coulee children's center will be missed as we go. Thank you guys for everything you did for us and loving our daughter the way you guys have.

We recently moved away from La Crosse, but both our kids went to CCC for the 3 years we were in town. Our kids were loved, cared for, and were always excited for "school days". Upon leaving, our daughter (age 4) has continued to ask when she gets to go to her new school. Today we dropped the kids off for their first day at the new school, and they… both did extremely well. I can't help but attribute that comfort to their time at CCC. They have only known good teachers and a good daycare, so why would they be nervous about a new place. Thanks, CCC. We miss you all!!
