Everest Waterproofing & Restoration, Inc. is working towards implementing sustainability into the core of our everyday business activities. In 2009, we contracted with an independent third-party to conduct a comprehensive sustainability audit, including GHG, waste, water and energy analysis, as well as overall corporate social responsibility activities.
This elegant grand dame was converted to condominiums and the Homeowners elected to restore the Belgravia to its former glory. The terra cotta balconies were falling apart and presented a "falling hazard" to the public. When we removed the terra cotta, we found seriously corroded steel. Everest hired structural engineers and testing engineers to design a repair of the steel and then set about preparing a budget for the project.
Replace existing urethane sealants with new GE silicone sealants at panel to panel joints, and window perimeters. High pressure wash precast panels, and seal with Prosoco SL-100 clear silane sealer. Everest was called in to clean this very dirty building and replace the old failed urethane sealant with new GE silicone sealants.
Everest has been hired to repair the brick on this landmark hotel in the Union Square district. Each corner of the building shows significant vertical cracking along the height of the building. Everest is utilizing a new technology that allows us to weld a rod through the brick directly onto the flange of the structural beam.
Everest's contract here is for the restoration of the exterior facade. At least 50% of the decorative elements had fallen apart or been demolished over the years. Our crews have painstakingly rebuilt most of the small detail areas by hand using polymer modified mortar patches. Next step is to rebuild the larger decorative sections with GFRP.
