Baker was not very friendly. I scheduled a tasting through the website. I was not informed that the tasting would be $25. I don't mind paying for a tasting but being informed of it in all the emails we exchanged should be a standard practice. She tried to manipulate me into a plainer cake and claiming the type of cake I want would not look nice. I am laughing now because why does this lady care that my cake will look silly if that's what I want and I didn't ask her for her opinion. I could have overlooked all her rudeness if her cakes were awesome but no such luck. She was rude AND her cake base

I am super super disappointed with the order. Lets start with how many times I called since the morning to check if my order waa ready, more than 8 times and they didnt even bother to pick up the phone once. Then when I got to the store the lady at the front was super rude and just called the ladies in the back to come help me. I orderd custom sugar cookies. Each cookie was LITERALLY the size of my hand. I asked why the cookies are huge and they said oh this is the standard cookie size....

This beautiful and most delicious Lemon Chiffon Cake with whipped Mascarpone, is by far the best from all the previous cakes I have ordered. Sugar Chef is one of the best in Delray Beach area. A truly gifted skill to be able to match exactly my favorite taste, its amazing, you close your eyes and every bites takes you back in time. The most beautiful a d best tasting cake we have ever had . They listened to what I requested and exceeded expectations ! Women was very helpful on the phone ! And stayed in contact whole way through right up to delivery of cake . Sent me picture of cake before she even delivered it to make sure I was happy ! So delicious can't wait for next occasion !!

Sugar Chef did a phenomenal job with a last minute cake for my 1 year old. Marie was not only flexible and accommodating but also so amazing to have made the most delicious custom cake during this interesting time of our lives. Given that it was last minute and also the holidays, Sugar Chef bakery was willing to work with us. I am so grateful to Marie and the entire Sugar chef staff for a memorable New Year's birthday. I am definitely ordering again for all occasions worth having a great delicious cake.

I'm not from the area but was going to be in town for the holidays visiting family. I found Sugar Chef through a Google search, and I'm so glad I did! I was doing a small gender reveal with my family and ordered a dozen cupcakes with either blue or pink frosting inside (I gave them an envelope with the baby's gender a day before). I didn't have a specific vision in mind, so I trusted whatever Leah and Marie came up with. Not only are they kind and very responsive, they are incredibly talented. The cupcakes were a huge HIT!!! They added the most adorable little baby decorations

Did they follow directions? Yes. Beautiful cake? Yes. Professional and responsive? Yes. Did the cake taste good? NO. Just terrible. NO.
I think this place does a great job of branding, beautiful website, and gorgeous cake decoration... but as for taste and flavor, I really am speechless here. And for the price, just truly unfortunate and disappointed.
Conclusion, just taste before you buy! Unfortunately we are from out of state, so that was not an option... lesson learned.

Marie and her daughter have been great. They made an amazing cake for my husband's 50th birthday! Marie worked patiently with me on the design and saw my vision and really made the cake way beyond my expectations. I got my Greek columns and writing, the cake was absolutely looking stunning. They delivered it on a Saturday and when I saw it for the first time, I actually cried, that's how beautiful it was!!!

100% TOP NOTCH SERVICE (I'd give MORE Stars if I can... Seriously)!! I actually ordered my Wedding cake from the previous owners, however needed help from the New Owners for our 1 Year Anniversary. Not only did they respond Immediately with AMAZING Service, but the Cake Looked Even BETTER then the Original!! I found this bakery while browsing Yelp for cake bakeries in the area for my SO's birthday. I'm so glad I decided to order from Sugar Chef. Marie and Leah are amazing people to work with, as they were both communicative, flexible, and informative. I ordered a small custom birthday cake and after describing the flavors and style I wanted over the phone to Leah, I picked up a beautiful and delicious cake a few days later! They were extremely accommodating with the pick up time, considering the hurricane warnings that were in place! Thank you!!

Marie and her team did a truly fantastic job bringing our vision to life to make our daughter's first birthday a memorable one. Thank you Sugar Chef for making us an amazing wedding cake! You nailed the galaxy look with speckled stars! The strawberry champagne and carrot cake was delicious! For 50 guests, the two-tier cake was just enough for our guests. Next time, I would request a bigger cake so everyone could try both delicious tiers! Thank you, again! I worked with Kate to design both our wedding cake and the grooms cake I got my husband. Kate was so flexible and patient with me and made my vision really come to life! She actually seemed passionate and excited to help me come up with something really special and memorable. The cakes were fantastic and she had no problem making any changes we needed. On the day of, the cake was there and looked amazing! Our guests raves about the presentation and the taste. Thank you Kate!!

Our cake was so beautiful and just so delicious! We went with a simple buttercream finish. We asked for subtle hints of Mickey Mouse heads on the second layer to pay homage to our engagement in Disney World and asked for white on white ribbon with rhinestones for each layer. Literally exactly what I imagined - even better! Thank you for making our wedding cake beautiful and more importantly, delicious!

Kate was amazing throughout the entire ordering process and really listened and understood exactly what we wanted in our cake. Everyone marveled out how beautiful it was! Of course, it tasted amazing-we only wish we had more of her incredible strawberry shortcake! Her decorating really is amazing! My husband and I went to Sugar Chef for our wedding cake. Our friends used them for their wedding and my husband, who is a chef, stated that it, "was the best wedding cake he ever had".
Our tasting with them was incredible.... every single tasting cake was divine! We decided on carrot cake for the wedding and asked for individual cakes. All of our guests raved about the delicious cake and the presentation. We cannot WAIT for our year anniversary... we will get to have the top tier! YUM! Thank you Sugar Chef! Everyone should go through you!
