Due to the pandemic, we are limiting walk-ins in the store and everything is pre-order only. Regular cakes need to be ordered 2 to 3 days in advance. I had to get an order in for a custom splatoon cake and they were so quick to take my order same day and had it ready right on time the day of the party.. it was extremely delicious, my mom who doesn’t ever eat cake because she does not have a sweet tooth actually complimented the cake!! She ate various slices. I will continue to order all of our cakes with J&D cakes. Totally recommend!!

I ordered a graduation cake last month and they created the most beautiful and amazing cake for us. Everything was perfect, colorful, and elaborated with great detail. Absolutely loved it! Ordered my babyshower cake here. It was my first time with JD cakes and I was a little worried since I couldn't taste the flavors due to the pandemic. I'm so glad I went with them! Great costumer service, Joel answers right away. He was able to replicate exactly what I wanted and what I had shown him. It was a beautiful cake! So beautiful I didn't want to cut it! The taste was delicious! Everyone at the party loved it! They all went for seconds.It was moist and the filling delicious, not too sweet not overpowering.Made my babyshower decor and theme beautiful. Thank you!

I ordered a custom cake for my mother's eightieth birthday from J & D Cakes. Daniela was very patient and helpful in guiding me through the design process. I tested several combinations of icing and cake. The decision was difficult as they were all soooooo good.
Cake was completed on time and I was AMAZED by the results! Cake was beautifully done and tasted great! (Daniela has a special recipe for her frosting and its delicious!)
I will always use J & D for all my custom cakes. Highly recommend. 5 stars plus!

Literally the best cake bakery probably in the us but luckily for us there right here local in boca, they have been seen on cake wars and there cakes are super fresh and definitely made to order, they will literally design any kind of cake you can imagine, but the best part is they look so good but they also taste yummy. I want to definitely join one of their baking classes that they host once a week at their location but due to COVID-19 I believe they won't be opening that back up until after October.

When I get married, J&D has to do my cake
I went to a wedding the other day of a friend and they had made their cake.
It was perfect, everyone literally kept asking who made it and took time out to have a look at it. We could not find any faults.
It was flavorful and moist and my friend says they were really great in the customer service process.

Wow! I was on cake duty for my brother in laws 40th birthday. We came into Boca from out of town and I totally forgot until the day before. I called J&D cakes and put in an order for a chocolate cake. We picked it up the next day before noon. It was the most beautiful cake, rivaling a wedding cake. Not only was it gorgeous but amazingly moist and delicious. I impressed the family and saved the day. I can't wait to come back to Boca and think of another reason to order a cake. Thank you so much

The exterior of the cake was absolutely amazing! Every single cake I saw in the website presented. Sadly I wasn't as impressed with the cake taste as a whole. I did go into this with a high expectation, and the cake itself was truly moist however the buttercream frosting was HORRIBLE and lacked any flavor at all. Since I truly am picky I thought and hoped I was the only one who tasted it and felt that way...sadly I wasn't. Whelp I will now need another option for December cake order

Found this little shop searching for new bakeries in the east Boca area. The ladies working were very sweet and super helpful. Ordered some cupcakes for an office pick me up; that went over well! At $3.75 per cupcake, which is a bit expensive in my eyes, they were worth every penny! The chocolate chip, filled with this chocolate yumminess, was the one I indulged in. Yes ma'am, delicious!

I ordered a two-tier Mango Cream cake from J&D Cakes for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. First, the cake looked gorgeous and without giving much direction, Joel and his team created an amazing cake that totally surprised my parents. I kept getting compliments about how wonderful it looked. Then, when we finally got to taste it, it met all our expectations--a light cake filled with mangos and with not-too-sweet swiss meringue buttercream. Perfect! My daughter took a week long baking camp at the bakery and loved every minute of it. To begin with, every thing that was created was delicious, quality and beautiful! Everything my daughter baked tasted and looked "almost" professional.
The owners, Joel and Daniela, were amazing instructors for the kids, kind, patient, funny and talented. The children enjoyed all aspects of the class. The class was also very well staffed with plenty of assistance and supervision for the young bakers.
It was a very special experience for the children to learn from actual winners of Cake Wars!

Had a really nice experience with J&D cakes. Joel is super sweet, as I'm sure the rest of them are. But not only are they nice, they are excellent bakers and artist! Love the cake and cupcakes they made for my daughter's sweet sixteen. Very pleased, everyone was happy and they definitely delivered as promised. Great tasting and beautiful cake!

My mom and I took a private cake decorating class at J&D cakes today, in preparation to bake a cake for a big event in the next few weeks. While we expected to just learn a thing or two about buttercream, Joel and Daniela (store owners and founders) we're so accommodating they really made the experience a memorable one!
First Joel broke down some buttercream frosting fundamentals using different piping tips and styles. He was incredibly patient and willing to walk through each motion until my mom and I caught on.

J&D Cakes provided the desserts for a party I went to. The cakes were beautiful. They also had cupcakes and macaroon cookies. Everything was delicious.
I love sweets. The cupcakes were so good. I had both vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. Even the frosting was rich and delicious. Macaroon cookies were great

I never knew the power of a cake until I shopped with J & d Cakes. It was really an experience. They helped me to design the cake, incorporating the concepts of the occasion, the personality of the person, and the colors associated with the event. The cake accurately reflected the sketched design. My sister asked for one thing for her nursing school graduation, a speciality cake to celebrate the occasion. She was so happy with the result.
Oh, and I probably should mention that the cake was delicious. One of our friends at the graduation party is a professional baker, and her response was.
