The CareGivers continues to respond to the needs of homebound seniors across Greater Nashua and Greater Manchester. Our volunteer network is still delivering food through our Caring Cupboard program and driving seniors to medical and other vital appointments through the Caring Rides program. Caring Cupboard volunteers are following strict sanitation and food packaging best practices.

Food deliveries are packaged in several layers of plastic bags and left at clients' doors to prevent direct contact. Caring Rides volunteers are also following proper precautions to safeguard our clients. The goal of The CareGivers is to help the elderly and disabled in the Greater Manchester and Nashua area to remain in their homes for as long as possible.
Services
Greetings from The CareGivers! Thank you for taking a moment to visit our website and get a glimpse of what we're all about. I often think The CareGivers is like a piece of fabric. Over the past 25 years, so many threads have been woven into a strong, functional, diverse and beautiful tapestry.

Ever responsive to the changing needs of the vulnerable people we serve, The CareGivers is there, free of charge; expanding the material, tending to frayed edges, continually reinforcing it.Everyone brings their unique and formative thread to the mission. The beauty of it all is how the threads all come together to strengthen our communities.
Adequate nutrition is a very real issue for the vulnerable people we serve. Subsisting on small fixed incomes, they often choose between filling prescriptions, heating their homes or having food in their cabinets. These choices are made easier through The CareGivers Caring Cupboard. This personalized mobile food pantry program provides and delivers free groceries to eligible neighbors in need.
This program is our single most requested service. Volunteers provide assistance and transportation to physician, dentist, podiatry and therapy appointments among others. Beyond the actual transportation, our trained volunteers wait with the care-receivers during their appointments, offering friendship and support.
Our agency engages in a variety of service projects and outreach programs throughout the year that help to promote our clients' independence and sense of well-being. Some service projects meet a direct need, while others are designed to bring cheer. The feedback from both the recipients and those involved in the giving from such projects is heartwarming.
Calls are made to a large number of people we serve. Many elderly and/or disabled individuals not only live alone, but are often without family nearby. CareGivers volunteers call those people who have expressed a desire to receive daily or weekly reassurance phone calls. Knowing a CareGivers volunteer will call gives these people peace of mind.
