I attended The University of Texas at Dallas where I earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1993. After working with individuals with mental health needs and developmental disabilities for about ten years, I decided to return to school and ultimately earned Masters degrees in Human Sciences and Marriage and Family Therapy, and a certificate in Dispute Resolution and Mediation.
It is common that people experience struggles that can interfere with daily living activities and relationships. Christy Neher, Counselor at Whole Health Constructs has experience helping adults, teens and children with depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, anxiety and phobias, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, self-esteem, and addiction.
EMDR is an alternative to traditional talk therapy that can provide rapid relief from stress and anxiety caused by overexertion, traumatic experiences, or disturbing life events. It is a phased, scientifically validated psychotherapy approach based on the theory that present distress is generally due to disturbing events that have occured in the past.
The cost of a 1-hour supervision session is $80.00 for an individual, and $50.00 per person for small group supervision (two to three interns). Each type of supervision provides a unique experience in the development of skills such as case consultation, providing relevant feedback to colleagues, and discussing the implementation of theory in practice.
When two people (or two parties) cannot find a solution to a conflict themselves, Mediation can be very useful. During mediation, a trained third party who has no personal interest in the conflict-facilitates the negotiation of a solution by using reason and offering alternatives. Mediation is different from arbitration in that the mediator has no legal or binding authority and cannot dictate a solution to the conflict.

Christy Neher is an outstanding counselor. She has been working with our daughter and family. She goes above and beyond in talking with us, even on weekends if needed. She is a great listener and always responds promptly to call's. She has provided our family with guidance on helping with our daughter. Our daughter listens to Christy. She is a counselor who is caring, professional and a great support! I highly recommend Christy Neher if you need family counseling!

Christy’s compassionate listening and EMDR skills have helped our family in dealing with depression and PTSD. After trying different counselors prior to her, we have an extra appreciation for her ability to truly make a difference.

Christy is so great at EMDR- we worked through trauma that I have avoided working on for years, and my PTSD symptoms are a lot less severe. She’s also helped me organize my thoughts and think through things that upset me introspectively.

Ive been to 3 therapists/psychiatrists before Christy Neher. I have not had anywhere near the results ive achieved here, and i never thought talking with someone could be this helpful. Dr. Neher has helped me open up things i thought I would never share with anyone (in a good way, on my own time). I thought i was very introspective to begin with, yet she has asked questions and opened up perspectives i have not arrived at on my own. If you are looking for real results, real growth, I urge you to go here. If you think youve tried everything, PLEASE go here. Ive tried the others. This is the best

Christy is absolutely amazing! She is very patient, kind, compassionate, and understanding. She does not force you to say or do anything that you aren't comfortable with. She is more than what I ever expected and is truly wanting to help. She's also very funny and a fun-loving person.
With Christy you can relax and just be yourself and she won't judge you...she allows and encourages you to be yourself and I love that about her.
I highly recommend. Shes very knowledgeable, flexible, and works with you in every way.

I saw Christy for four years, and I recommend her to everyone. She is very flexible with scheduling. I got to set the frequency of the appointments, so if I had a lot going on I may talk to her a few times in a week, or if my life mellowed out I may go a month or two without. I’ve never felt pressured to schedule more often or more consistently. Christy is very kind and knows how to ask the perfect question to lead you to an "ah-ha!" moment. Christy is very open minded and I always felt comfortable talking about "hot button" topics as they relate to me. Christy's specialties are in trauma and
