Friendswood Vision is a family-owned and operated optometric practice and optical. It was founded by optometrist Dr. Thu Tran, who was raised in Friendswood, TX and who is proud to still call this town her home. Dr. Tran feels very grateful for the quality education and upbringing that she received in Friendswood.
We understand that your time is precious and that you need an optometrist who is professional, yet convenient for your lifestyle. In order to make the transition to our office smoother for you, we have created a New Patient Center with everything you need to get started.

At Friendswood Vision, our goal is promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept two types of vision insurances (VSP and Eyemed), cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our Friendswood patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment.
Hoan Trinh (otherwise known as "my husband Hoan") is Dr. Tran's husband as well as her office manager and optician. Before meeting Dr. Tran, Hoan practiced law as well as wedding photography in Connecticut, where his mother still resides.
Seeing that the pool of well-trained and seasoned opticians was almost non-existent (who knew?!), Hoan decided to take up classes at San Jacinto College to learn opticianry in order to ensure that Friendswood Vision would always have the highest quality staff available to measure and fit your glasses.

Wonderful visit, i just moved to the area and was looking to get some contacts. Dr.Tran was super nice and really thorough. I loved that she made sure I was comfortable and i also liked how she explained everything. She also threw in some jokes here and there to make me comfortable. Would recommend if you’re looking for optometrist in the area.

I had been looking for a new vision provider locally, checked out the videos and read the great feedback on the website. I decided to try it out and am I glad. Dr. Tran took the time to explain everything she was doing, what it meant and how to interpret the eyeglass Rx readings. I could not have been happier with the empathy, professionalism and health protocols. My husband is switching over too on his next appointment. And I needed the updated Rx for glasses and the quote given for the bifocal and lens protection was about 25% less than my usual provider. And I had them in just over a week. I

My wife went here and only had great things to say. She was getting headaches around her right eye and called in to see when she could get an appointment and they were able to see her the next day! She says that Dr. Tran was very friendly and made her feel comfortable. She also appreciated that many measurement were taken so that her sunglasses will be the perfect fit (she’s very picky about that). Overall a great experience and I am planning on seeing them soon as well.
