I was new to Mission Viejo and California in general. I have known I needed a dental implant for years and finally decided it’s now or never. I selected a few offices to do a consultation in the area so that I could find one I was comfortable with. Turquoise Dental was the first office I visited and I was blown away. It was so clean and professional. Each person in the office was kind and helpful and immediately put me at ease. I also felt like the priority while there which is weird for a dental office because they usually juggle 3/5 people at once. I decided I couldn’t pick the first place

This place is fantastic.
I don't understand the negative reviews.
They have been nothing but wonderful to me.
The prices are fair and the work is outstanding.
I feel like people complaining have not went to other dentist offices before initially. Every dentist or doctor who is trying to gain your business can say "oh that's not needed" or whatever.
My vote is this place is awesome and I've been comming here for many years and feel the work product is outstanding and the costs are competitive.

My experience was that Dr. Barnar did a bait n switch on cost of first visit. Was to be $39 but when I didn't have him do recommended work the charge went to $375 . Not only that he tried to charge me a 10% fee on the $5665 for work he wanted to do and $600 for financial arrangements which consisted of us handing over our credit card. The total was then $1490 that he billed us. I have since gone to two other dentist and both confirmed that I did not in any way need two of the three crowns he wanted to do. I am still in dispute with him and my credit card. If you have had work done by

Dr. Barnar have been our family dentist for about 18 or 19 years and we are very happy with his services. He had is very caring and have a fantastic bedside manner. He makes the experience of going to the dentist a very positive one. His staff are also very caring and very professional, especially Heidi knows her clients and their preferences and always able to find a spot in their busy schedule when necessary. They go out of their way to make you comfortable. The office is also very nice and decorated in a very tasty way with a very relaxing fish tank that makes waiting (if any) a fun experience

Someone refer to him. I went there twice and i prefer not to go to him ever again. They charge me twice for a crown which caused a problem. I had root canal treatment for the same tooth before the crown. The root canal was not done properly or the crown by him and it caused me problems a week before my wedding. My chick was swallowed and it was painful.

I visited Turquoise Dental after finding an $80 voucher for cleaning, X rays and a dental exam, so I was hoping this would be a positive experience seeing Dr. Barnar for the first time. The second I walked in, he looked for as many problems as possible and started to plot any possible way he could overcharge me. First, he said I needed a deep cleaning due to tooth decay (which doesn't make that much sense since I am only 25 and I have pretty good dental hygiene even. Another dentist did confirm that the tooth was starting to decay but didn't resort to such drastic measures as Dr. Barnar

How sad! I know Dr Barnar so many years, He did a great job on my teeth many years ago. That is why i went back end of last year again. It was a lot of dental work, an it is done perfectly. But financial part was a disaster, i knew he charges more than average, but i did not mind. This time i was charged $8, 000 at front before start the dental work, on the contract expecting insurance payment was $1200.-. i found out last minute, insurance paid 3,387. I requested refund. . Then the nastiness and lying started . Heidi who takes care of the finance finally agreed to pay only $$1750. back. i wasn

Dr Barnar, Heidi and the whole staff have taken excellent care of me while getting an implant. I dreaded doing one as my husband (who went elsewhere some years ago) had nothing but problems. Words like kind, efficient, professional and excellent are just a few of the words I would to to describe this office. Highly recommend!!

The office staff was kind and friendly. I paid $40 for a office visit. I got their treatment plan with $7,000 worth of work needed. Went to another dentist and half the stuff wasn't needed. I wanted to get a copy of my X-rays. I was told I had to pay $50 to get them. Just curious Why I paid $40 for X-rays if I have to pay an extra $50 to get them?
Overall I was turned off by the latter. It would cost me around $90 for my X-rays. All I wanted was a second opinion and it was jumping through hoops.

Dr Barnar is hands down the best Dentist I have ever been to. He is truly an EXPERT. He is caring and friendly. He will sit and review your dental problem with you in a way you can understand. He will propose several options and then let you decide which course of action is best for you. The cosmetic results are outstanding AND he is virtually PAINLESS! His office is beautiful and calming and his staff are more than friendly. I will NOT see any other Dentist.

Dr. Banar gives excellent care. I've been going to his office for 3 years and have moved to Los Angeles, but still make the drive down to keep the same dentist. When I first came to Dr. Banar's office my mouth was a mess. I had 7 cavities, two metal fillings that were leaking metal into my mouth and needed an oral surgery to have wisdom teeth removed and he took care of it all.
Honestly, you get what you pay for, and even if he is considered more expensive I would rather spend a little more and make sure that my teeth are well taken care of then have shoddy dental work done.
