Services
The stone buildings of Camp Lindenmere were built by hand in the early nineteen hundreds and was opened as a camp for children in 1935. Camp Lindenmere was initially owned and run by the Brochhausen family who sold it to Andrew and Irene Schoenberg in 1944. Three years later they sold it to Harry Spielberg who owned it until 1965.
Located on 200 acres in Pennsylvania's beautiful Pocono Mountains, Lindenmere is a private, coed sleepaway camp with a long, rich history. Whether this is your camper's first experience at camp or your camper is an "old pro, " sending your child to camp can stir up many emotions. You want to know that your child will be well taken care of and in a safe and fun environment.
There is nothing better than seeing camp in action. We offer personalized tours for your family. Our tours are highly interactive and we will stop in the areas that your child is most interested in and try them out! Allow between 1-1.5 hours for your tour. We offer tours 7 days a week, starting at 9:30 every morning.
It's all about choice. Your choice! TOTAL CHOICE! Lindenmere's program is on the cutting edge of summer camping. Campers work with their counselors and specialty staff to select the activities they want and love. With Lindenmere's focus on choice, campers have an opportunity to explore in-depth the activities they feel they will enjoy and participate alongside campers with similar interests.
Camp Lindenmere is a fully accredited ACA (American Camp Association) camp, located high in the Pocono Mountains, a short distance from Stroudsburg, PA. Our facilities have all been either renovated in the last few years or are brand new. We stress offering our campers the cleanest, safest and nicest facilities possible.

This camp does not monitor the kids, kids are not supposed to have phones , yet our family received threatening, vile messages from kids who were at camp and not being supervised. When you try and let them know that it's going on right in front of them, they will lie and deny , and dismiss you , before acknowledging what is truly happening on their campgrounds. They clearly show preferential treatment for campers who have attended before. or who have families that have worked there.Save your money, send your kids someplace where they are not just left to their own devices.

Very disappointed.
Preparing kids for summer camp is a tremendous amount of work and expense especially with covid requirements this summer. Our daughter was attending a four week session. Day after day the counselors called us complaining about her behavior. After two weeks we were told that we had to come get her.
I feel that the staff was unwilling to put in the effort to deal with a young child that proved difficult to them. This is not the first sleep away camp our daughter attended.
Our son had a good experience at this camp.
The camp is beautiful and offers a tremendous amount of activity

I loved this place. I think about it all the time. It was the greatest experience I’ve ever had. Made a ton of friends and gave me hope for the summer after a long horrible school year. This camp gave me life long friends and wonderful memories!

The camp itself is amazing it’s really fun and a great experience. i would have the best time. the only problem is that the camp had trouble with kids with personal issues. they wouldn’t take the time out of the day to really talk to kids and understand them but besides that, the camp is great.

I am not one who leaves many reviews, however, this organization is by far the best thing I have ever done for my family. Mitch, Craig, Monica and the rest of the Camp Lindenmere family have been nothing but AWESOME!!!
My kids have been attending for the last 3 years. From the moment my children return home in August until they leave in again in June they talk about the fun, friends and memories they had over the summer. Both of my kids have made friends with other kids all over the place and talk to them all year round. What my kids love most about the camp is they get to be just that, kids who

Camp visit day was wonderful. The campers performed shows, circus, magic and music. Guests were treated to a delicious lunch. Friendly, helpful staff. My nephew is returning next year.

My daughter attended this camp for 5 summers. I can't say enough great things about it! So many great activities; everything that a kid could imagine from crafts, theater, rock shop to gymnastics, dance, circus; you name it, they have it. The food is excellent, well above average and the staff is excellent. They make it their priority that everyone is making friends and having a good time. I especially liked the schedule with major and minors daily so my child could try many different activities as well as receive expert instruction. Lindenmere is truly a life long experience, the friendships

This rating is for an event I attended at the camp and is not meant to rate the kids summer camp...

The Lindenmere staff was so incredibly kind and welcoming to the camp grounds which was a great feeling. This camp is gigantic and the surroundings gorgeous. Since the weather wasn't so cooperative I couldn't try out all that the camp had to offer but I made do with what was available. The location is far enough from the city but not so far that the ride is a hindrance to the enjoyment of the event. The cabins were comfortable and updated. The food to my surprise was very good. We took our 8th grade to Lindenmere for a three day trip. Overall the camp experience they provided was amazing and positive. The camp manager, Spencer, was extremely accommodating and flexible. Any suggestions or changes we needed he did without question. The staff was the best we have experienced in four different camps. They were positive and energetic as well as knowledgeable. As an added bonus the food was very good compared to other camps.

My review is for Lindenmere Adult Camp. So we all know its like the latest craze...adult sleepaway camp. Oh to be a kid again!!
Camp Lindenmere is one of the latest campgrounds to hold one.
I attended the 2nd session of the two they held this year. (Sept 15-17)
Attendee size was on the smaller size compared to some of the more well known adult camps. Around 80 people I would say. For me this wasnt an issue because i much preferred it so you can get to know more people. Mingle schmingle! Ya know!
I chose the bus pickup from nyc rather than driving myself. Who wants to be bothered. Although fyi

My brothers and I went here when we were kids, and I would definitely not recommend it. In my day the counselors and staff here were complete degenerates. There was no proper care or supervision for the kids. I would be horrified at the prospect of sending my children to this camp. Parents of potential campers, feel free to contact me for details.

As an alumni from a little over 10 years ago, I would vouch that this camp was important to my growth and development in my teenage years.

The first week was rough. We couldn't call our parents and I felt so lonely and separated from them. Little did I know, this would only make me stronger.

The camp director Enid, let me call my parents 2 days early. I cried my eyes out and said "Whatever you do, don't come to get me before Tuesday. It's the miss Lindenmere competition!" (where we dress up the male counselors as women and make then dance around and lip sync). This
