This is the place to get your cuts for most everything, I don't even bother going anywhere else. You've tried the rest, now come to the best! Brisket, pork butt, ribs, sausage or whatever. Just call up if it's something that's special to check they have it, if they don't, they'll get it for you.

This was only our second time ordering from Norshore Meats & Deli.

Pros:
The steaks are premium quality.
They were willing to do curbside pickup during Covid-19 (they brought our order straight to our trunk, with no problems).
The man who put our order directly into our car was friendly.

Cons:
The man I spoke with while placing my order over the phone was extremely brusque, short with me, and generally unpleasant to speak with. His demeanor was so unfriendly- I felt as if I was bothering him! During the pandemic (and even without a pandemic), businesses should treat their customers with

One of the best butchers on the north shore! These folks have been around since I moved here in the 70s! Always dependable for the very best products and knowledge!

I called and asked if they sold BEEF WELLINGTON. They said yes that they needed me to order it ahead of time due to preparation. So I ordered two pieces (thinking they make a whole roll and cut it up). When I got home I opened the package up and it was just two steaks, not beef wellington.

Fantastic fresh meats. I never buy baby back ribs or beef tenderloin anywhere but here. I had the best hotdogs I've had in my life this week, from there. I can't wait until they open Tuesday so I can go back and get some more. They are always super friendly and personable and prices are fair

These Gentlemen are true craftsman #realbutchers, Every time I come in there there's three or four gentlemen cutting and preparing delicious meats. My go to $13 filet mignon wrapped in fat . Never have I experienced such quality and all of my worldly travels.... in addition, they always have kind words and lollipops for my children

What a friendly neighborhood butcher shop. You do not see a lot of these places any more. I'm so used to buying meat at the grocery store that this felt like such a treat. I special ordered a pork crown roast for Christmas. They were so kind and professional about how to prepare this cut of pork. It was a beautiful roast and it was priced cheaper than Jewel or Sunset foods was offering it for. The meat was high quality and customized to my specifications. I will make it a habit to purchase my high quality cuts of meat from here more often instead of buying mediocre meat from the grocery store

Great folks, super-friendly, terrific butchers. Cater to the Wilmette and nearby Burbs with great Protein for many years and expected pricing -- but they help with selections and trim your choices as only the best meatmongers can. Recommended.

Excellent place for fresh meat, fast friendly service, and suggestions for your preparations. There is a price menu printed for you to take with you, it is extensive and everything I have had has been great. My list is short but consistent with prime rib eye, double smoked bacon, hot dogs, strip steak and I tried the pie-in-a-bag from the freezer area. The place has one of those old style meat delivery hooks that is attached to the ceiling on tracks, very cool, this place is in an area known as antique row. I thought that hook was interesting because I think the story is that they still use that

Great local butcher. Meats are very good quality and Ron, Gail, Ed, and Mike are always good for a smile and a laugh. Prices very reasonable, and meat is always fresh.

I ordered prime Porterhouse steaks to give as Christmas gifts. I asked for a generous cut, about an inch thick, and that is exactly what I got. They were ready as promised, wrapped separately and labeled. Everyone who received one thought they were the best ever, which meant a lot to me. The gift recipients were family members and I wanted to do something really special for them. Thanks to Norshore, I was able to do so. Hands down the best meat in Chicago area. The beef tenderloin is outstanding. Really good people. Fair prices. But just outrageously good quality meats.

The pies in the back freezer are to die for... amazing. I've not had a better pie in Chicago ever, they are that good.

Want fresh high quality meat and your near Wilmette - this is the place to go. They cut the meat or ground beef while you wait! Don't worry that doesn't mean a long wait as they are efficient and it takes only a couple minutes. If you call in advance they'll have it waiting for you.

The place is very clean and you can watch them hand cut pieces of meat in front of you. Not a lot of pomp and circumstance - they focus on fresh high quality meat not a lot of groceries or other stuff.

Been shopping here for years. Always top quality and it has to be the cleanest butcher shop in the world. Everything is great, including the frozen meat and chicken.

Norshore is Great for a lot of reasons, but having the hands down best skirt steaks around doesn't hurt! Also the best ground chuck (which they will add fat to and grind to order for me) and the best Prime Rib also... No kidding. I re-discovered them when buying chuck at various vendors to make a great burger. They had the best and I went from there.

The prime rib I just had for Christmas was astounding and everybody at my table thanked me for it. 12 pounds of wonder! The brisket I recently smoked was likewise wonderful.

I have been going to Norshore for many years. Their services is terrific and the meat is ALWAYS great. The best quality! Even going to get my turkey there this year!

Really good meat and the professional service you'd expect in a neighborhood butcher from your father's era. Prices are a little steep if you're used to buying your meat at Jewel, but the quality makes it worth every cent. Great place to pick up a gift certificate for a buddy too.

Norshore Meats is truly a gem -- outstanding quality meats, friendly service and encyclopedic knowledge about all things meat-related. I originally tried them when a recipe called for an unusual cut of meat that I couldn't find at a big grocery store. They expertly prepared what I needed and the recipe was a hit.

Their prime filets are so good, that when my in-laws are in town, they order a dozen frozen filets to take home with them -- and they are from OMAHA. Get the picture?

These guys have the best roasts around and that includes the ultra high end mail order joints like Lobel's. Plus they're nice AND local!
