The Garden Cafe used to be a favorite of ours in Lincoln, so when we found out one was still open in Omaha, we picked up an order of two burgers with fries and an old favorite..bread pudding. Such a disappointment!!
The fries must have been fried then refried several times. They were hard and had a rancid taste. The burger was so so, and the bun was soggy. (We picked it up right on time). Oh, what have they done to the bread pudding! The cinnamon roll base tasted like it was full of preservatives plus very old rolls, and the bottom was not custard, just oozing mush. It smelled like the refrigerator

I just wanted to share a recent experience at this cafe. We happened upon this establishment after intending to eat at a cafe around the corner that was closed. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the nicest gentleman who took us to our table. He was very kind, complementary, and humorous toward us. The minestrone soup and club were great. But I was so impressed by Robert H and his amazing service I wanted to share. At one point my friend and I looked over and he was helping a lady with her coat. Good workers are hard to come by and you have a gem! My faith in humanity has been restored

This was the worst brunch experience I've ever had. We waited for almost 2 hours for our food. When it finally came out, two of our 4 orders were wrong. They were vegetarians and asked for the meat on the side. Our server asked if they wanted plates to put the meat on but there were pieces everywhere so they asked them to be remade. Our waiter said they would take too long so he brought us out bill. Their two meals were still on there. When we told him we wouldn't pay for the meals they couldn't eat, he got the manager. The manager said he couldn't take the orders off the receipt but instead said

Went to Garden Cafe at Rockbrook for breakfast. Had 3 servers walk by our table no less than 5 times without any acknowledgement after we were seated. No drinks, no sorry, no “just a minute”. They were busy but… there were open tables, so we were patient for 30 minutes. Not only did servers walk past us,I watched as another couple came in 15 after us and IMMEDIATELY had their drink order taken. A few minutes later the owner went to their booth and was still talking to them as we walked out - I guess you have to be friends with the owner to get drinks. Right about the time we

We ordered lunch today and had it delivered. When we receive our delivery one of the salads had an apple watch cover in the salad. When we finally spoke to manager after trying for over 2 1/2 hours to speak to him Frank stated none of his staff has apple watch and that the delivery person must have put it in there. The bag was tied shut so tight we had to cut it open. I will never order anything from here again. Horrible excuse for this.

Overpriced and took forever to get food ordered and then took twice as long to get our orders. We were seeing people come in sit down order and eat then leave. We were told 4 owners on property but didn't notice them helping out at all. Then heard a cook flipping out on another employee and the f-word was used quite a bit in the dining area. It was mentioned to us a cake order was due out at certain time and it was an hour late and owners told baker not to worry, that came from a server who told us. We will definitely not be back

My family waited 40-45 minutes for for our order. We were told it was going to be a 30 minute wait for our food due to a party, which we said was okay as long as we had biscuits or something for our kids to… munch on while we waited the wait. We we were told that was fine by our waitress and she would go and get them never, but we never received our biscuits. We ordered two iced teas and recieved one without ice. When we asked for an iced tea with ice, it took over 20 minutes to recieve the drink. When we recieved our hot orders, the only things that were hot were the fries - even our sons

The owner at this establishment is terrible to work with an incredibly rude I feel really bad for the employees I have been coming here since I was a little girl and I am now 30 years old and will never use their services again due to the owners comments. When you pay $60 for a card to get you discounts on your meals they should be able to give you… those discounts it’s not my fault they never gave me the card after renewing for the last four years. He told me I was never to come back to his restaurant and that I was not welcome any longer which is fine I would never go back after
