The following map shows radon tests performed by Minnesota Home Inspectors LLC from 2011 through 2018. It is the number one cause of lung cancer for non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer in smokers. Your risk for lung cancer increases with higher levels of radon and longer periods of exposure.
To inspect the pipes and find possible problems, a special sewer video camera head connected to a flexible cable is inserted into the main sewer pipe cleanout, or in some cases, the vent stack and snaked through the pipe. Then the technician watches on a monitor at ground level to inspect and evaulate the waste pipe.

The people at MHI run a joyful, professional and extremely superior quality of home inspections. They are prompt in scheduling, courteous and, let me tell you, amazingly thorough. If you, like us, want to know the true status (inside and outside, tip top to very bottom) of a home, the home that you are about to make a major investment in, Minnesota Home Inspectors are the sure way to go!! I can’t begin to explain how incredibly through Ken is. He went through every inch of my property with an incredible eye to detail. Because of Ken (and the recommended video sewer inspection) we were able to uncover a 13,000 sewer issue, ungrounded outlets and several other “hidden issues”. His reports are extremely detailed and easy to read. He also let me accompany him on the inspection and answered all my questions. If you are looking for incredible value, attention to detail and phenomenal customer service, look no further!

The great service started with the office manager. Online appointment requests were easy to do, and the office manager responds to your request immediately.
The advice on what inspections to include was also helpful.
Ken, the inspector, was incredible and so knowledgeable. I truly feel like he had my best interest in mind. He paid attention to a lot of key details.
My mother who is not easy to please, was very happy with his work. Therefore, I know he did a great job!
He is a very easy going and amiable person as well, so he made a 3 hour inspection a pleasant time spent.

Not only did Kenny do an extremely thorough inspection but he educated and explained each problem to me in depth. This really help me get a better understanding of the issues at hand. Ken did a new home inspection for me and my family today. Ken is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He encouraged me to attend the inspection (which I did) and he talked me through all steps of his process. He sent me the report about 90 minutes after the inspection and the report quality is great!

Ken was great to work with. Scheduling was simple and quick and he provided a comprehensive report and went over everything over the phone before and after the inspection. He actually caught a few things that (according to the seller) a previous inspection didn't see. The report is easy to understand but Ken broke it down even further and made it all make sense. He answered any questions I had and offered future followup should I have questions anytime after the inspection was done. Made a stressful part of the purchase process very easy.
