Rincon Mountain Winery
Rincon Mountain Winery is a family-run, boutique winery with stunning views of the Santa Barbara Coast and valley leading to Ojai. A truly local winemaker, Edward Darren, was born and raised on Rincon Mountain and grew up farming the family's avocado and lemon groves. We built Rincon Mountain Winery on our family's ranch because, well, there's no better place to live, work, and play.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, we're excited to share the experience of Rincon Mountain wine with you! We've got two locations for our wine club members and the greater community to visit. The winery is nestled between our avocado trees on top of Rincon Mountain, and is not open to the public.
Services
Our winemaker, Edward Darren, grew up making wine for family and friends with his father, Randolph. Those early vintages were a shared passion that would serve as the foundation for Rincon Mountain Winery. After acquiring his degree in Enology From Cal Poly, Edward Darren set out to build the "real" winery that he and Randolph had spent years talking about.
At Rincon Mountain Winery, our wine club members are an extension of our family. On top of the usual wine club perks (bottle discounts, tastings, and merchandise), our wine club members get exclusive access to special events at the winery. Enjoy the view from our winery's deck, shake hands with the winemaker, and enjoy our rotating selection of local, craft wines.
Located right off the 101, our tasting room in Carpinteria is the perfect place for a romantic night out or a casual get-together with friends. Reserve a tasting at one of our outdoor tables, take in the sunset from our back room lounge, or sidle up to the bar where our experienced team can help you find your new favorite vintage.
Our family-owned winery is located on our 140-acre avocado ranch in Ventura County. It's also where we live (and where our winemaker, Edward Darren grew up). The ranch is how we stay connected to our past while growing towards our future. The winery itself is sized to handle 3,000 cases annually, and every year we're scaling up in anticipation of reaching this maximum production.

This place is an absolute gem. The owners have put so much work into every detail of the tasting room, their wines, and the presentation. It truly tells a story. You can buy wine to go or do a flight. The gentleman 2 doors down also sells empanadas that are to die for. Great place for a date, a Saturday after, and we’ll frankly anytime. I can’t wait to come back!

Super afternoon spent with the great folks at Rincon Mountain Winery at their tasting room in Carpenteria. They’re making excellent red and white wines, serving awesome empanadas from Che Argentina and spinning vintage rock vinyl. What else does one need?

The wines are extremely small production and amazing! It's family owned and run so very knowledgeable and personable! They did a great job on the tasting room and Despite having to be outside now, they created a nice ambiance! Definitely get a cheese tray and try their estate pinot noir if they have it!
