Imagine your next social event, wedding or gig in the heart of Uptown, Minneapolis. This newly revitalized historic 1927 Churrigueresque theater is brimming with possibilities and amenities. When was once an iconic theater from the silent film era is now your night-out, epic-event, made-for-you hotspot.
The Granada is the last, true "atmospheric auditorium" in Minneapolis with an iconic, curved, soaring, midnight-blue ceiling. When movie-goers attended, it was as if they were watching a movie outside, under the stars, complete with artificial trees and projected twinkling lights and soft clouds - a magical experience.

I attended my first event in this venue in December and I would love to come back. It was lovely. The event was the Fever Candlelight Holiday Jazz concert.
The entire theatre is lit only by candlelight. The theatre has a starry ceiling to add to the atmosphere. The music was festive. The lead singer had a beautiful voice and the musicians were very talented.
My only wish is that they would have played longer than about an hour.
We had a VIP table which meant we were seated in the back of the theatre in a tiered viewing area. So we were farthest from the stage but had our own space, were elevated

This is one of the WORST experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Our group ordered the croquet sampler. Both of them were frozen in the middle. The paella was so fishy our group couldn’t eat it. I studied in Spain and this paella wasn’t even close to traditional good paella. We ordered steaks instead. They were both chewy, mashed potatoes were super bland. They tried to accommodate us by giving all of us birthday cake. The chocolate cake was so dry and tasted right out of the fridge. The manager came over and apologized twice and said they were working on figuring out something. They only

Went here for a show the other night and while the venue is unique I had some of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered at a bar/music venue. I was outright ignored on two separate occasions when I tried to get a drink. The bartenders seemed woefully unqualified to be serving drinks and didn’t seem to have any hustle. I’ll give it another chance for another show and will hope that the staff are better trained

We had our wedding and reception at the Granada. The venue provided the magical setting we wanted. The staff was super friendly, and Amy was super flexible about set-up and rehearsal. They were able to project specific background scenes we wanted, and had a great bridal suite for hair and makeup. The lobby was perfect for our guests to hang out and grab drinks before the wedding and during the transition to the reception, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this as a venue, and my husband and I will be coming to eat at the restaurant portion at least every year on our anniversary if not

I seriously am not a complainer but the manager or owner tonight did not take any responsibility for over charging my account over $50. She was very rude and didn't address it or speak to me about it. She refused to address the situation and just walked away. But I do have to say the music was great and the wait staff was great! The manager was very rude.

I saw a show here recently. It seemed to be a nice venue with tables and chairs and a dance floor in front of the stage. Some thought went into the lighting which created a nice atmosphere.
We had a couple of problems though. The chairs throughout the place were kind of flimsy and the padding was about 1" thick foam. They're okay to sit in for 15 minutes but not an hour or two watching a show and eating dinner. They were quite uncomfortable and you'll know exactly what I mean if you go there. My friend ordered a cider drink and it came out in a plastic cup. Every other table & every other guest

I loved this place! The renovations are beautiful and the staff is friendly and personable.
The food was flavorful and the portions were good too.
I had the shrimp tacos. I highly recommend them.
One thing I truly love is the theater and all it's charm was restored and not demolished. This would be a perfect place for a date.

We went for drinks during the grand opening of Uptown Lobby (the bar/restaurant at the Granada. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the wine selections. The menu was not tailored for my budget. It is for sure a higher scale, more expensive venue.
The patio was nice. There is plenty of room on the sidewalk for the patio, even with social distancing. However Hennepin is not a quiet street and the table are only a couple feet from the road.
