Mr. Trujillo (founder) was born the eleventh son to a family of thirteen in the small community of villa Victoria in Michoacan, Mexico. From his home, Tino ventured to the University of Mexico City where he studied economics and was employed by the Mexican government in various capacities.

No exaggeration...I've been going to Tino's since I was a kid in the late 1970's...that was 40+ years ago! They've catered weddings, birthdays, funerals, and so many events for my family. #5 is my goto meal and is honestly what I'd pick for my last if I ever had a choice! The salsa is unlike any other and is tops in my book. I love this place and love the people. I drive a good 20 miles every month or two just to get my fix. Long live Tino's!

I don't normally give 5 stars often. But this may be my new favorite Mexican restaurant. Free chips and salsa. And the food was delicious !! Fajitas were sizzling, the rest of the food was piping hot but not so hot that we couldn't enjoy it. Lots of flavor. The waiters were attentive and friendly. Theres a lot of parking outside and it wasn't busy at this time "8:30pm". Love it ! Highly recommended !! 😉

I was trying to find a good place to eat breakfast with menudo as a option and I found the perfect place! I’ve tried menudo at 3 other restaurants in the Allen/Plano/Richardson area and Tino’s is by far the best! You can request more or less of this or that in your menudo which is great!!!! Highly recommend!!

This is one of our staples! We know we can always get in and get good service and good food. They can accommodate larger parties which is great! My wife has been coming here since she was a kid — she loves the enchiladas and tacos. David and Sandra are great servers and always make sure we get great service and attention!
The food is great and the happy hour prices are great, especially if you love icy cold beer! We will definitely keep coming back.

By far one of my favorite places to eat. Never a wait, amazing service, food is really good, an prices are cheap. I live over 30 minutes away from this restaurant an without a question well worth the drive. Love the menudo huge bowl way more than i can eat an im a big man. Chips an salsa are simply amazing. Ive never had one complaint.
