A family of Care Partners and Elders supporting one another in a loving home where each person grows and learns. The Shalom Park Nursing Home honors the individual, creates a culture of home and builds relationships. A home that cares for our loved ones in a dignified and respectful manner, Shalom Park has licensed professionals on staff 24-hours a day to care for your loved one in a compassionate and loving environment.
Our community follows the Eden Alternative philosophy to improve the quality of life by meeting the emotional, spiritual, social, residential and medical needs of our Elders. Each Elder directs their care and our Care Partners support them along the way. Whether rehabilitating to go home or making Shalom Park your home, each Elder chooses their path to a nurturing lifestyle.

Services
Elders and Care Partners work together and empower each other to experience the rhythm of daily life. Here at Shalom Park, we celebrate many events throughout the year, both large and small. From personal celebrations such as a birthday or family announcements, to celebrating major Jewish and national Holidays, we are always looking for a reason to celebrate.
Our rehabilitation and therapy team provide inpatient and outpatient therapy. We have state-of-the-art equipment and our comprehensive team approach supports each individuals goals and vision of therapy. We help adults stay active and strive to support each individual's goals and vision of wellness.
Since 1992, the Nursing Home staff continually strives to meet and exceed the emotional, spiritual, social, residential, and medical needs of the residents. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about long-term admissions at Shalom Park. For more information, please contact Karen Gates, Director of Guest Relations at 303-680-5000 or email Karen.
In a culture that typically views aging as a period of decline, the Eden Alternative philosophy asserts that no matter how old we are or what challenges we live with, life is about continuing to grow. Through a collaborative partnership, Elders and Care Partners work to enhance well-being by eliminating the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom.
Shalom Park is designed to empower the Elders and Care Partners (our Board, staff, and families) to be part of the overall operations. We encourage and teach that inclusivity, compassion and understanding help us grow as Care Partners alongside the Elders. Our practices are rooted in Jewish traditions and values and are consistent with the principles of the Eden Alternative.

My parents moved here from Florida to spend their last years. They were treated with respect kindness and dignity. Even when my Mom sometimes complained. Her dementia eventually had her calling the police for stolen earrings (why would someone steal only one of a pair?). ;) And the staff called me to assist. Always. With ANY issue. They lived in an apartment where in most places they would have been officially in assisted living. They had "on-demand assistance". I am forever grateful. They were too. Today NO ONE has died of COVID here because of their reponsible management of care. My mother-in

"Wow," is about right to express our impressions of Shalom Park! We had that "WoW!" experience!
When our mother fell during a recent visit, we wanted to find a place that would care for her during her rehabilitation.
We found the perfect place for her in Shalom Park! The nursing quality and other staff were so attentive and our mother actually enjoyed her stay! While she never liked PT, they pushed and encouraged her repeatedly, gently, to get out of the room.
We are very grateful for the care she received!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My mother has lived at Shalom Park since July 2015. She went there after living with my spouse and I for almost 8 years, at the age of 93. She had fallen a few times in our home and it was no longer safe for her to be with us. I searched many places and was unable to find anywhere nearly as good as Shalom Park. Mom is now 95 and enjoys using their 90 degree heated pool (with assistance of course) approximately 3 times per week. It helps her legs remain as strong as possible, and she rarely complains of arthritis pain any longer. She sings in the choir and attends the many activities there as she

My Dad lived at Shalom Park Nursing Home for two years before he passed away. During that time, the staff provided compassionate care and support for him and also for me. Although he had dementia, they really got to know him as an individual, not just as a "patient." The facility is bright and spacious. His last two years of life were as good as they could possibly be.
