Charlarose Lake & Campground

This campground is a diamond in the rough. Exceeded our expectations. Owners were very friendly. Felt welcomed. They go all out on Labor day weekend. Two live bands and a very big professional fireworks show. Also it is our in country so it was peaceful. Will be back again.

We were traveling through and called late in the afternoon and spoke with a very cheery and helpful host. The park was extremely clean, quiet and accommodating....thank you!

Absolutely enjoyed the weekend at Charlarose campground! The owners were absolutely amazing! I’d love to find a permanent spot here foe next year! It was a nice getaway!

We only stayed overnight but it was very nice and clean. The gravel pad we stayed at was level. Loved all the open green grass and trees. The lake was lovely.

Nice location and the owners are nice. Our family enjoyed playing bingo over the 4th of July weekend. Several cons for our weekend though. First, the campsite number we had was extremely unlevel. We had to raise one half of the camper itself so high off the ground to get level....we had trouble getting onto the first step of our camper. A seasonal even told us that the spot has been this way for over a year. The water has a serious iron smell even with us using a filter. The bathroom for females has one door stall that doesn't lock out of two stalls. And needless to say that checkout is at 11 on

One of the most picturesque campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Just lovely. The spots were nice, with water and 50amp electric. There were 2 great playgrounds for kids. The main office had ice cream and slushees! Our kids were in heaven. It’s off the beaten path so it’s all farm land around it. But it’s not too far from the highway. The owners were very kind and friendly. A great campground!

Very nice staff!! Beautiful area. We had an easy pull through site with electricity and water. Has a dump station on property. Pond with small boat and cute "general" store.

Great family campground that is owned and run by a very kind couple. We were only passing through the area and spent just the one night, but we talked about coming back for a weekend sometime, perhaps this fall. Beautiful location and the lake and surrounding area is well maintained and very clean.

Just came down for a few days to visit a friend and really liked the park. We are planning on coming back in July for the month. Very clean and well maintained. People are very friendly and accepting of new people. Rick & Theda are the owners and great people and get out and visit with everyone.
