GUAN Medical Center is located at 3460 Ocean View in Suite A, just to the left of the front door. It is operated by a team from a traditional Chinese medicine family who has practiced reflexology therapy for more than 20 years. The owners are California Board Licensed Acupuncturists, who were both trained in traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and have received a Master's Degree in Acupuncture.

What is Acupuncture? Dating back 5000 years, acupuncture is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), involving inserting thin needles into the body at specific acupuncture points. It relies on the principles that illness occurs when there is imbalance of yin and yang in the body, which cause dysfunction of organs and meridians, according to the theory of TCM.
Provide consultation to other physicians on Chinese medicine and related holistic approaches to their treatment of patients. Utilize knowledge of Chinese medicine, herbal pharmacology and ancient Chinese medical methods, such as acupuncture and massage, and principles of diagnosis to consult and guide physicians of other disciplines on their diagnosis of patients and treatment of diseases.

Dr. Guan's clinic is a peaceful and friendly place that helps you feel relaxed and ready to regain your health as soon as you walk in. It's a simple setup - their investment is in their caring and attentive approach to helping patients. During the reflexology treatment, the doctor lets you know exactly why each spot is tender and needs attention and I found that each area he treated related exactly to my health issues. I recommend this office to anyone who is seeking alternative medicine for a variety of challenges.

I was not a believer of the acupuncture until I went to Dr. Guan's clinic. The office is very clean and treatment room were very private. The front desk girl is very kind, polite and friendly. Pretty much no waiting time if you have an appointment.
The most important thing is "IT WORKS". My lower back pain went on and off for a while since the snowboarding injury. I have tried many things and none of them works. However, Dr. Guan's acupuncture really helped my pain a lot. After several treatments, I felt so much better.
